GOG is taking pre-orders for The Serpent's Curse at 20% off until the first episode is released, which is expected to be December 4th. If you order now you can get both episodes for $19.99! What a deal! Btw, there is a great interview with Charles Cecil here. What a nice guy! And he talks about "the goat". Gil.

You know, I'm really horrible at math. Awful. But if those two parts of BS-5 are going to sell for $15 each...which means $30 for the entire thing...and GOG is charging $20 right now, on sale, for the whole thing...doesn't that work out to MORE than 20% off?
Gil.

I keep thinking that every adventure gamer is going to be calling in sick on December 4th. The world may shut down. Gil.

I just played the beta & I can tell you the game looks great, can't wait to play the rest of it. It has a built in hint system which is great.

Hmmmm. I already have the downloads coming because I joined the kickstarter campaign for this game. This price is SO much better than what I paid....and you get BOTH games at once instead of waiting for the second episode next year. What a deal!

Not sure how you are calculating it Melia, but for 15 dollars on Kickstarter you get both games, so this is not cheaper.
Also you won't get the second half sooner on GoG you are only getting a pass that will allow you to get it when it's available.

The deal is, Melia, we backed "one" game, most of us at the $15 level. It was never intended to be episodic. Revolution split the game in two since it is a very long game they say (the equivalent of two) and they wanted to get the first half of it to us this December. If they had decided we were only going to get the first part of the game for our pledge, Revolution would probably be stomped flat by 14,000 irate backers. Anyway, you and I and the other 14,000 are getting a better deal on Broken Sword 5 than anybody for believing in Revolution and backing the game. Yeehee! Gil., aka, happy backer

I couldn't remember what level I had pledged at so I went to kickstarter...and you're right. It was only the $15. Whew! Feel better.

Hi, maggsie,
Yes, GOG is a digital distributor and only sells games for download.
It's my favorite place to buy games these days.

GOG is a great place to get games. Not only are they DRM free and once bought you own it, but you can uninstall and reinstall you games at any time because you have an account there that has a list of all of your games with the installation links. And when there's a problem, they fix it immediately.

Hey, again, Maggsie. As the others have said, GOG is not like Steam. When you buy a game, that's it. It's yours. You don't have to play it through some contraption like the one Steam has. (Do they call that a client?) Yes, just register and you'll be a member of GOG. I think GOG is based in Poland, since you ask, and they're loosely affiliated with CD Projekt Red, the makers of The Witcher. Btw, they try to make the prices work out to be the same for everyone worldwide, so what you pay in pounds will be the equivalent of what I'd pay in dollars. Gil.
