This one is not too bad. Not sure if I will buy it or not, have to decide on this one.

The developer is Elephant Games, who also did the two Lost in the City games as well as Mystery Trackers: The Void.

I have already purchased the game but have to leave for a while this morning. When I come back and am able to play the game some more, I can say more about it. The graphics are beautiful; apparently there is a lot of adventure-lite gameplay as well as HOG; and this is the biggest download yet for a CE (but whether that translates to a longer time spent playing the game, I have no idea as yet). wave

nice game playing the demo don't know if I will buy the game. Short demo lasted only 40 min.

Marian: I'm about ready to go ahead and buy a CE. This game looks intriguing. When you're ready, would appreciate your input on which of the current CE's available might be the most bang for my buck. Looking forward to further comments.

I just got home now so hopefully can start Hallowed Legends later this evening. Sparkle, I'd be happy to give you some suggestions as to which CEs have better/longer bonus gameplay. Let me think about it a little and I'll get back to you. wave

Hi, Ana!

I played the demo and it's a pass for me. For some reason, it just didn't grab me and many of the puzzles I encountered before the demo ended just weren't my cup of tea.

Hi, Sparkle!

I've purchased a few CEs lately, and I think that both "Shadow Wolf Mysteries - Curse of the Full Moon" and "Dark Parables: The Exiled Prince" were well worth the money. If you played "Curse of Briar Rose", you will recognize the soundtrack because it's the same.

I think Hallowed Legends: is more of a adventure game than a hog. Great game. Well worth the money.

Sounds right up my alley Richard!

Susie, what kind of puzzles are in there?

Ana,I can't remember when I have played a better game. The puzzles aren't to hard except one slider had to use the skip. I just got the balloon in the air, now to take a ride in it. At the beginning there were a lot of HO but now there aren't that many. I don't regret getting it at all.

Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles had a nice lengthy bonus gameplay. Love Chronicles: The Spell did as well.

That's what I have been reading, Richard: that the game has plenty of adventure-type stuff and that it isn't just one HOG screen after another. I can't wait to get started on this game. smile

The game looks pretty good; however, it is huge, over 850,000 KB which is a real problem for me now that AT&T has decided my connection was too fast and has halved it. "We're sorry but you are still within the acceptable range." Grrr.

I have cable internet but it's not top of the line by any means; the game took about an hour and a half to download.

After finally getting the game downloaded, I have to say that I agree with Richard. Nice graphics, puzzles that don't make me crazy, and I have yet to need the strategy guide.

One of the puzzles is a variation on one that I can normally do in my sleep. It's funny how such a tiny change could make me back up and think what to do next.

Anyway, so far the game is keeping my interest.

Gil.

So far, I'm thinking this may be the CE I'll be buying this month. Sure sounds like a winner all around. "Shadow Wolf" is already available in SE and that's fine with me. Once a game has gone SE, I'm not willing to spend the extra for the CE. Appreciate the comments.

ETA: Yikes! Broadband Internet download took 25 minutes.

I finished the game and I'm on the bonus part. Pretty long game, 8 hrs. on and off. There are so many scenes I really don't
remember where you could find the wrench.

Janice,

Don't hold me to this because I could easily be wrong for the reason Richard just mentioned but
Click to reveal..
I think it was back in that red car in front of the power station.

Tell you what, there are some impressive cut scenes in this game, particularly the one of a bridge opening. That was beautifully done.

Then there are some that looked as if they'd been filmed and were a little blurry but the animated one of the bridge was proof of what they can do.

I'm enjoying this. I have no idea where it's going...it's a little off-the-wall...but it was well worth buying, IMO, so much so that I don't want to turn in, darn it!

Gil.

Let us know how long the bonus part is, and whether the bonus gameplay is worth the cost of the Collector's Edition.

Jenny, just finished the bonus and it took me little more than a hour.It was a good bonus. Real nice game. If you didn't use the hint it would take about a hour and a half. I think it's worth the extra money. Not many HO. You really have to do some thinking.

I didn't think much of the bonus game. I felt as if they'd expended most of their ingenuity on the game itself and the bonus ended abruptly. All in all, however, it was a really good game, one of the best casuals I've played.

I also enjoyed the fact that our heroine's love interest was 'mature'. <g>
