Hi everyone. I know you guys stay up on all of the latest info about games or DLC's coming out so I wanted to post about Dawnguard. (the dlc for Skyrim) I've read and heard many different things and so I'm not sure what's true and what's not.....does anyone know if it is coming out for the PC and when?

Thanks so much,

Tracy smile

Aha! You guys are awesome! Got it, bought it, installed it, have been playing for like an hour and I had to force myself to stop so I could go walk the dog---LOL!

I really like it so far and without spoiling anything I'll just say that when the opportunity came along to "change" my character----I took it! wink

Tracy, having way too much fun and so glad that the articles I found about Dawnguard were not true.

Oh, Tracy, I heard about that "change!" How do you like it?

So far it's pretty cool Annie--still learning how to do everything, but I LIKE it! Much better than the vanilla way of doing it. wink

I'm glad you are enjoying it! I'm a fair ways into it myself and I'm really enjoying it too. I'd say more but I'm afraid of spoiling.

According to the ibtimes, the reason for the pS3 delay is this:

Quote:
We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard's performance on the PS3," read a post on developer Bethesda's official blog this week.

"Skyrim" fans playing on Sony's console have been eagerly awaiting its release, but Bethesda says it would rather wait until the content is perfect before rolling it out.

"We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren't going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people's experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to our user mods, to paid DLC. We're as disappointed as our fans when that isn't the case, but we'll continue to push for that reality," the post also read.

Hopefully, Bethesda will release the ps3-version of Dawnguard soon.

Thanks Tracy. It is from Battlestar Galactica. One of Admiral Adama's motivation speeches smile

I finished Dawnguard last night (except for one side quest) and all I can say is Wow! Thank you, Bethesda!

Here are a couple of Myst-like bits I really liked:
Click to reveal..
Getting covered with ancestor moths. Remember how we had to cover ourselves with fireflies in Uru? The moths are much less fussy. And collecting pages in hell, i.e. the Soil Cairn. I could almost hear a voice commanding "Bring me the pages!"
Tracy -- I know what you mean about returning to Vanilla Skyrim!

Oh Annie that part was so cool! And btw, I think I've done all the quests except a certain one that hasn't triggered yet, but I'm still having fun roaming around "down below" and I like it so much that I've posted on the Nexus forums asking for someone to mod a house for me down there! LOL

Tracy, who is WAY too into this! smile

Well I've joined the return to Skyrim with the Dawnguard plugin.

I am enjoying it so far. I've got this armored troll which seems like a tank. Don't know how much damage he's doing but he's fun to have around.

I really like Serana as a companion and replaced Lydia with her.

Click to reveal..
I've read about an undead horse but don't know all the particulars yet. Is it just for the Vampire side or can you get it by staying with Dawnguard? On this first playthrough I'm backing Dawnguard

Nice to see you again, Oldman! In answer to your question:

Click to reveal..
I think the horse is available to either group (I played Dawnguard and found the horse), but it's only available in a certain place, which it can't leave.
