I never played this game & I would like to BAGG it on a trade..

Will it play on XP with a Nivida 8600GT card?

Darleen, I don't know if there would be any problems with the video card or not. What I can tell you is that someone in Germany has come up with an XP installer/patch for this game; the website is in German, but the patch apparently works for the English version as well. I already directed one GameBoomer to this download; she used it and ran the game with it, and said it worked well:

WINDOWS XP PATCH/INSTALLER

I just finished a replay of this game in DOSBox, and it works very well. But the above will probably allow you to run it in Windows XP without too much trouble.

Does anyone know how to get the game in full monitor screen?

It loaded up just fine...I can play it..But its not full screen..I also set the game exe file to 640X480...Still small screen..

None that I'm aware of - I seem to recall that there was is a configuration file that could be manually edited, but it only controlled the size of the window border, the game still displayed at 640x480.

I ran the game under Virtual PC with a desktop setting of 800x600 - it was reasonably clear at those settings.

My game doesn't have a thumnail...Just black around the game screen..

It loaded great on my XP...I didn't need an installer or tweaking..

I was referring to the thumb nail image in my post above (it's actually a link).



I will load (and play) just fine. The problem you describe however is the only it will play under native XP. Virtual PC will still display the graphics as 640x480, but they will appear more proportional in a VM running at 800x600.

The instructions on the XP Installer for Phantasmagoria page says using it will enable the game to run in a window or in full screen.
