Yesterday I purchased "Harvester" from gog. All I got was the downloader, which doesn't do anything. No games are shown and nothing happens. I contacted support and asked for this to be fixed or else refund my money. I thought they were reliable. Am I wrong?
Thanks for any help. I used my credit card and know I can dispute the charge if gog.com doesn't respond.

As Inland says, the downloader doesn't do anything until you tell it which games you want to download. Go to your account, find your games and start downloading.

Thank you both. I had never downloaded any games from them before, but finally got it to work. Unfortunately for me, however, the game is extremely old-fashioned and I'm sorry I bought it. The remarks about the game got me interested in the first place. It's amazing how computer games have progressed since 1995!

They usually have screenshots you can check out. I've passed on a couple that sounded good, but were so pixelated I found them hard to see.

I'll tell you what I do, Laurette, when I'm uncertain about a game. I go to YouTube and search for it. Watching just a few minutes will usually let me know what I want to know without spoiling anything. You can check the comments, too. Sometimes they're actually on topic. Gil.
