For those of you who might need instructions for cryptic crossword clues, check out this page . These have all been created by a variety of well-known constructors. There may be one or two that we might question, but they're still fun. Please explain all answers. -1. Cold and detached male animal (5) -2. During New Year, girl becomes agent (8) -3. Print dress concealed by angel (9) -4. Something sweet from Missouri girls (8) -5. Silver onyx cross removed from rack (5) -6. Large, light coal (7) -7. Quality of willows or small evergreens, to a point (9) -8. Proper ceremony is announced (5) -9. Worshipful one takes vow another time (8) -10. Knit a bag (5) -11. Sleigh went spinning from end to end (10) -12. Man announced song (4) -13. Without energy, pulls sleds (5) -14. Overturn a fruit dessert's layers (6)
The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.

I was thinking of "narrowing" (double def), but then "or small evergreens" would not be required... "Quality of willows, to a point" would be sufficient... Willow trees do come to a point, like triangle, at top ??

You boys just made my day. Neither answer is correct. I'll give you a hint: "to a point" is S. The whole thing is a simple charade. And speaking of fools (one of which is definitely not Lex), #14 was illegal as written. I fixed it.
