I am having trouble in programming the sun rise sun set boxes inorder to open the cabinet behind door #4. I understand the signal lights but do not understand how to transfer the info inorder to set those domino like boxes on the panel. Despite the walk -thru and help from Magtro , I still dont get it. Can someone give me a hand. Thanks

welcome bgk,

Let's review from start:
Write down the sequence of the lights seen on the pole.
There are 2 kind of flashes: dark to light (sunrise) and light to dark (sunset).
They are on top of one another and several of them - I think six in a set.
Then go to the panel that you opened at back of gallery.
Remember the TV close to Kales' bedroom. It showed the sunrise-sunset (domino and switch appearance).
---

Now that you opened the panel at end of gallery hallway, you will see the domino looking puzzle.
Enter the flashes you saw outside using the pictures above as guide.

Keep us posted.

Mag, As per your request I am posting on the forum. For the sun rise sun set boxes. If the first signal is sun rise , how do you program the first boxes on the left of the panel. I assume the sequence is left to right. Thanks

1. Remember that there are 2 lights that flashes on the post at the same time: one on top and one at bottom.
2. Those lights flashes 6 times.
3. So when you enter those in the puzzle at the back wall of the gallery: you see a domino on top and a domino at bottom.
4. There are 6 of those.
5. Enter the post flashes that you saw on the puzzle by clicking on the domino.
6. See the pictures above: the first on the left is dark to light (sunrise) and the one to the right is light to dark (sunset).

Example of flashes:
1. dark to light (sunrise) on top
dark to light (sunrise) at bottom.
2. light to dark (sunset)at top
light to dark (sunset) at bottom
3. light to dark (sunset) at top
dark to light (sunrise) at bottom
4. dark to light (sunrise) on top
dark to light (sunrise) at bottom.
5 light to dark (sunset)at top
light to dark (sunset) at bottom
6. light to dark (sunset) at top
dark to light (sunrise) at bottom

Sunrise: is the domino with lower square and then higher square.
Sunset: is the domino with higher square and then lower square.

If you have other questions - please post it here. Good luck.

--- I think you noted only one flash of lights.
Please go back and recheck and write down what flashes on top and on the bottom.
It will flash 6 times.
Write those down. luck

mag, are both the top and bottom squares programmed the same way and what does it mean when both lights come on at the same time ?

It depends on the random puzzle.

They can be the same or they can be different - check my example above.
You have to watch and see-write down what is flashed on top and what is flashed at bottom of the lights.

The lights come on at the same time - that is part of the puzzle. That means that is the pair you enter in the solution puzzle at the end of the gallery.

bgk I am in the same place in RHem4 and I am also confused with the sunrise sun set boxes. I haven't yet been able to set them right.
MaG do you have to change the setting in the box under the pole outside Door #1 where the lights flash? Does the pattern in this box have to match the domino cabinet?

I finally figured it out. Thanks anyway MaG. wave

Hi Gerry,

Great! bravo

Just a note: the box under the pole is the same as the lights flashing above. It is just an additional clue if you can't follow the lights flashing. Enjoy the game.

bgk,

Let's work on this puzzle a different way.
Tell me what are the flashes you noted down on the pole while looking at it from behind door 3.

Then I'll tell you how to solve the puzzle.

1. When you mean "both lights at once" - was the light bright and then slowly lost brightness?

2-3. Sunrise - is this both top and bottom?

4. Both lights? is it dark to light or light to dark?

5. Sunset? top or bottom or both

6. Both lights?

Can you send me that saved game and I will check the flashes. Thanks. It is found in the DPOT folder that is inside the Rhem 4 folder.

No problem.
Open the DPOT folder and see files in there.
If you remember which number that saved game is (or base it on the time and date of the file) - right click that file.
Select send to: mail recipient.
That should open your default mail browser with the file attached.
Enter my mail address - you can find it on my profile. Click my avatar and see my mail address.

Good luck. We'll get you through this.

It's okay.

If you see the DPOT folder - double click it (or right click and select open).
Once the folder is opened - see the files.
Then follow the rest on my previous post.

I thought you found it already - sorry.

Open your C drive - then Program Files - then maybe RunseSoft or Rhem 4 folder - then DPOT folder.

bgk this is what I did to get the sunset sunrise puzzle. When watching the 1st top flash I noticed that it went slowly from dark to light(sunrise) and then I heard the little ding sound as it ended that flash and started the 2nd. I watched it twice thru to make sure of that setting and I did all six top settings this way and then the bottom.
I watched only the first light flashing and wrote down exactly what I saw.
If you did not change the outside picture this is the settings for each of the 6 places on the dominos.
From Left to Right:
Top(1)sunR (2)sunR (3)sunR (4)sunS (5)sunS (6)sunR
Bot(1)sunR (2)sunS (3)sunS (4)sunS (5)sunR(6)sunR

If this doesn't help let me know and I have another way to try. Good Luck and please let me know how you do. Once you get the 1st one right it gets easier.

I finished the game yesterday! Amen!! bravo
