Hi, everyone!

I seem to have hit a brick wall. I'm playing as Nancy and have learned about the tunnels from Alexei. I read the book in his shop and the 2 pieces of paper in the back are now in my inventory. I got Brenda out of her van and located the entrance to the tunnels but can't climb down the ladder. I also read her schedule and used the key to open the metal box. I have spoken to everyone in town and nobody has anything to say. What now?

Thanks!

Susan

Hi Susie,

Try going back to Nancy's house, and speak to George there.

Hi, Rushes!

Thanks for your response. I did go back to Nancy's house and the conversation with George went something like this: "Hey!" "Bye!". Nancy did discuss the tunnels with George after reading Alexei's book in the Antique Store and before finding the secret door in Brenda's van. I managed to climb down the ladder into the tunnels and found the other entrance outside the Old Town Hall but, other than that, nobody has anything else to say and I can't find anything else to do. I don't know if it makes any difference, but I'm playing Senior Detective.

When you spoke to George did you discuss the jammer, and George needing a battery for it?

Hi, Rushes!

No, that subject never came up. I did notice a battery in the drawer of Nancy's desk, but I'm not able to take it, probably because I haven't yet found a use for it grin !

I obviously missed doing something that triggers the next sequence of events, but what that is has me stumped.

Did you examine both sides of the paper with the symbols on it, that you took from Alexei's book?

If Brenda is back in her van does she have anything new to say? It's a dialogue with Brenda that will trigger George setting up the jammer.

Keep us posted!

Hi, Rushes!

I have 2 pieces of paper that I took from Alexei's book in my inventory, but maybe I didn't examine them close enough. If there are 2 sides to each sheet, I missed that so I'll go back and have another look.

All Brenda says is "Hi". She didn't even flinch when I entered the tunnels from the Old Town Hall and popped up in her van when she was sitting right there lol !

Thanks for your help.

You probably missed a conversation.
Have you spoken with Deirdre and Toni?

Hi, LadyLinda & Rushes!

I finally discovered what I missed. While once again examining every inch of every available location and talking to every character, I stumbled upon a pamphlet about an Antiquities Exhibit in the bookcase outside of Nancy's bedroom that I had overlooked. Once I read that, the argument with Brenda was triggered and I am now working on George's circuit puzzle.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi, Rushes!

Yup, it was a crummy pamphlet that prevented me from moving on frown ! I looked at the picture but somehow missed the pamphlet.

Thanks again!

Susan
