Nordic Games acquires further adventure titles from dtp entertainment

Quote:
Vienna, AUSTRIA, December 5th, 2014

Nordic Games announced today that it has closed an asset purchase agreement with dtp entertainment to acquire the intellectual properties “The Moment of Silence”, “The Mystery of the Druids”, “Curse of the Ghost Ship”. In addition to that, Nordic Games will take over the commercial use of “Overclocked” and “15 Days”.

The acquisition itself is being handled by Nordic Games Licensing AB, based in Karlstad, Sweden, whereas the day-to-day business (sales and distribution, evaluation of sequels & new content etc.) will be conducted by Nordic Games GmbH, based in Vienna, Austria.

“With said IPs, the portfolio of our adventure games division (The Adventure Company) gets a considerable increase”, comments Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development Director at Nordic Games. “As adventure games are not only very close to our hearts, but also an important focus of our brand strategy, we will make good use of these new opportunities.”

Happy Gaming!

It's about time Moment of Silence was made available again.
The European DVD version was rendered useless by StarForce.

Hopefully this acquisition means Moment of Silence and the other games developed by House of Tales will be available worldwide, DRM-free, and updated when necessary for newer operating systems.

My CD version was published by Dreamcatcher/TAC, but it looks like they only had the rights to publish in North America and not worldwide.

I was hoping that the news of Martin Gantefohr working on a new game posted here with Daedalic meant a chance for a sequel. I can only hope maybe he will work with Nordic also.

Ana no I don't need any help. I'm playing the game on my xp. I don't think any PC-DVD-Rom will run on 7, I don't care, glad I have a xp to fall back on.

It's got nothing to do with DVD's on Windows 7, and everything to do with the StarForce v3 copy "protection" the "Moment of Silence" game DVD was infected with. StarForce v3 does not work on Vista and later.

Fantastic news, thanks Ana. happydance12 I'm hoping this means we'll see The Moment of Silence on GOG soon. My CD copy (North American, non-Starforce version) still works perfectly fine, but I would like a copy to add to my GOG library as well. Plus, they could add any patches for future systems if necessary. thumbsup12
