I recently bought from the Adventure Shop, the games DARKNESS WITHIN 1 and 2 but I am unable to launch number 1. When I try to launch it, I am presented with a black screen. I needed a forced shut off to regain control of my PC. I did make sure, before trying to launch the game, that I was to play it on the compatibility mode recommended and also with the administrative rights.
I did report the problem to the ADVENTURE SHOP support team and the robotic answer I have receive from them was to make sure that my graphic card and Direct X were updated (stange recommendation: They should have known that If I did succeed to launch Darkness Within 2, we have to assume that all my drivers are updated)
Anyway, they continue by telling me politely that, as long as I did succeed to download the games and install it, it was no more of there problems. I have been invited to contact the publisher support team.
I don't know if any of you have ever tryed to contact the support team of Lightouse-Interactive, but in my case, the support has always been limited to an automated answer (in Polish I think) with absolutely no follow up.
Anyway, to go back to my problem, is there anybody with a suggestion to help me launching that game?
