Winfrey, I don't have time to search but there are numerous threads here on them. They use peer to peer networking which is not safe for you or always legal. I cannot in good faith recommend them to anyone. Ana

Ana/ speaking of neoedge (mostfun network is "powered by neoedge") have you tried games from Playfirst lately? When I downloaded the trial for Diner Dash Hometown Hero, it showed me ads from Neoedge the same way the Mostfun player was doing. I have no idea whether their EULA / privacy policy changed. (and if I read it it'd be greek to me anyway!)

Playfirst, My opinion, and my opinion only: Here are my concerns and why.... Here is my favorite and really don't feel the need to go on after this, but I will so that you can understand what things to look for: "Game Play Tracking" is a technology we embed into our games that allows us to understand game play behavior of our Users and visitors. This technology logs all information associated with a User's or visitor's play of a game and saves this Anonymous Information in a file, including, but not limited to, date, version, the timing and tracking of mouse clicks and keyboard actions within the game, scoring, level completion, graphics card and DirectX capability, and how you progress through the game. For FirstPeek participants, this information also includes your email address and hence would be Personal Information. In all cases, this information log is uploaded to us only if you click "Submit" in the exit wrapper of our Digital Rights Management Software. My Opinion... Seriously now.....they have a keyboard tracker installed? So who will guarantee it's only when you are playing the game? What happens when you Alt-tab to answer an email and still have the game running? Do they turn their heads and not watch...hmmmm, I find this most disturbing. ************** To make our services more useful to you, we use technological means to collect information from you, including (but not limited to) the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the website you visited before coming to our Site (including links you click on in our e-mail newsletters or on our website), the URL you go to next, your browser type and other browser information, and your Internet Protocol (IP) address. We may also use cookies or clear GIFs to collect Personal Information from you about your use of our site (for example to track downloads from our site) or e-mails we send you Why I do not like it: They use "clear Gifs" to track your movements on the web. These are also called Web Bugs. They not only monitor your movements on their website, but they look at the cookies stored on your computer so that they know where you have been so that the ads will be customized for you. This is why I stick with BigFish...no ads, no hidden things to be scared of. I don't care how good a game is, it's not worth giving up my privacy more than we already do. Ana

Ana, That's SCARY! Play First is supposedly a very reputable casual game company (huge user base, lots of beta testers, , and they always have certain games first. ( They have Chocolatier 2, Cake Mania 2, and all the diner dash games / Wedding Dash, Dream Chronicles... before anyone else)
I only started seeing ads as of Hometown Hero, so the EULA must've changed recently.
Thanks for the heads up!

Sally, you know my intent is not to hurt any website, but to allow you and others to make your own educated opinion on whether or not you want to do business with a certain site. I walk the middle of the road when it comes to privacy because I know that when you enter the web, you automatically give up some, but I will try and prevent from knowingly allowing some of these trackers to be installed because they can be used in too many different ways. That does not surprise me sarah, I do not use Real arcade for that very reason. BigFish does not track your keystrokes Sarah. I read the policies. I am a Contract administrator where I work as well as an accountant and can decipher the fine print quite wel. i also have a lot of computer programmers close to me including my hubby to help with the computer lingo I don't always understand. I will never *knowingly* install anything that sends my keystrokes and mouse clicks to anyone. That crosses "my" line. As I stated before, you can make your own decision as to whether or not it is acceptable for you. We all have that right to decide for ourselves. Ana

Ana, I am so gld I read this because I was on my way over to Playfirst to download Emerald City but after reading this info I have made a decision not to do so. You stated it very well that it is my decision whether or not their practice are acceptable or not and this type of invasion is not acceptable to me....thanks a lot.

Thanks for the info Ana. I think you made it very clear that this is "your opinion, based on your expertise. I, for one, have tremendous faith in your opinion and "your" line is "my" line. Once the facts are laid out, everyone has to choose where "their line" will be. Thanks for taking the time on this Kim
