There's an eye-opening article at Adventure Gamers on how accessible games are to gamers with sight, hearing, mobility, and cognitive issues. Very thought-provoking.

Interesting article. Thanks Becky. I'm thankful the only disability I have is lack of patience.

I thought it was interesting that keyboard interfaces can actually be easier for people with serious mobility problems -- when holding down a key is actually easier than moving the mouse.

I was so glad to see an article about accessability in gaming! Since i have become a klutz when it comes to speed and agility i have long praised the people who come up with cheat codes or 'trainers' for some of the action/adventure games... I play with an old Microsoft big red trackball (they don't make it anymore). I wanted to order another and they don't make it anymore....can't figure out why..they've got trackballs with lots of other buttons on them (no good for me)and other trackballs...some that do have a larger trackball than the regular size BUT the way the hand has to rest on them is no good for me....so it is true....what works for one doesn't do it for another! The thing i like about my big trackball is...doesn't take so long to cover a lot of ground if you need to...instead of a lot of repetative clicking or moving the trackball..very nice for sore/stiff fingers and wrists like mine! great article and glad you brought it to our attention!
