I feel really stupid 'cos I've read a lot of the commments about this game and nobody seems to have the same trouble as me, I'm in the Hanger and I cannot get the matches to work, I have moved Diamon all over the place and tried the matches all over the place, I have placed the coffee pot with sugar and cup of water already and all I can get Diamon to say is 'does it make any sense'- if I hear that one more time.... I think perhaps it is where you place Diamon - any hints PLEASE mad

See if this helps:

Hangar:
Look around. Click on Fuffy Wilson, the pilot and see that he is drunk.
Go to the shelving rear of the room. Take the cup with water at middle shelf.
Open all the drawers to get: coffee, coffee pot, sugar, ammonia and matches.
Go back to the front of the plane. Try to use the ammonia on Fuffy.

Make coffee: In inventory, combine cup with water and coffee pot.
Combine coffee pot with water and coffee. Add sugar to coffee pot with water and coffee.
Click on small gas stove left of the green cloth.
Place the filled coffee pot on the gas stove.
Use matches on gas stove. Diamon automatically takes the boiled coffee.
Combine the boiled coffee with empty cup to get cup of coffee.
Use the cup of coffee on Fuffy Wilson.

Hi monbron,

Yes, it's about positioning. smile

Here's an excerpt from the Gamezebo walkthrough:

Use/Place the Coffeepot on the burner, which is at the left end of the blanket Fuffy's laying on. Use Sugar with Cup of Water and use it on the burner. Use Matches on the burner, and Diamon will automatically add Hot Coffee to his inventory. (Note: be patient: you may have to experiment a little bit or move Diamon away from the burner several times to get this to work, since when he does something with the burner, he stands in front of it, so if you try to add another item to the burner, often the game thinks you're trying to apply it to Diamon himself).

Full walkthrough

luck and let us know if you still have problems.

Wow that was quick, I am using the Gamezebo w/t I also checked the BF walkthrough, but I had trouble opening the safe I knew I was doing it right but it wouldn't open, but when I came back to it, it worked first time. I will try again 2morrow, if no luck I may replay that part and see if that makes any difference, But thank you for all your help. thanks

OK you can now officially call me stupid!! I hadn't put the coffee in the pot - but it didn't say so in the w/t, seems like I should be using my brain as well as reading the w/t. However a fresh morning and brain in gear seems to work. oops

Ok stuck again, I am at the hotel and have the gun but I can't pick up the table cloth. I am fairly certain that I have done everything but I can't get the pick up cuser to appear all I get is the magnifying glass and lots of comments???

I went away and came back and guess what I picked up the table cloth first time - weird!! guess my computer is getting old like me and needs a rest from time to time. I am now trying to shoot the bottles and feel like I have a hangover coming even though I haven't had a drink, its all that double vision, got a feeling I might be asking for a saved game here. confused

No I can't get passed the 3rd round, but I went hunting for saves as per other posts, and although I can find Amulet and lots of info from BF I cannot find saves from Amulet anywhere, I did a search but nothing, I have other BF games and I can find the saves for them. I realise that saves could be in another folder with a different name, but I have searched all the folders I can find for Amulet and a big Zero. Any ideas?? 'cos there is no point asking for a save if I can't load it. duh

Try looking here: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\amulet\save

I found Daimon Jones in Programme files, but none of the files have saves, I tried Application data where there are other BF games but not Diamon as I say I tried a search but nothing, I do have 4 saves so they must be somewhere, I wondered if BF would tell me if I asked??

Try Amulet instead of Diamon.

Have tried that as well, have done a search under both, using saves and date app.but nothing I have e mailed BF to see. Thank you

I have received this reply from Big Fish

'Hello Monica,

Thanks for writing in and I understand you're looking for your saved files for Diamon Jones. My name is Jeff and I'll be happy to help you with this. It looks as though these saved files are located in your registry. We don't recommend that our customer move files from this location because it can have an affect on other programs installed on your computer. Out of curiosity, was there some place you wanted to move these files or were you just locating them to play? Unfortunately these files will not be transferable to another computer but if you're playing on the same computer you'll be able to locate the saved spots through the game. I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Thanks,

- Jeff'

I have not loctated my Registry yet, but does this mean I can't accept a saved file from someone else?

Monbron: I don't know the answer to your last question, but would like to give you a little encouragement. I had trouble with the shooting part also, but found, if you patiently watch when the target is on the bottle and then shoot, it works. This segment is not timed (as you know), so that helps. If I could get through this, so can you. Good luck!

Have you tried this? I got this from another post.Richard
From Windows Explorer choose "Tools" from the menu, then "Folder Options" then click the middle tab "View". You may have to scroll down a bit, but look for "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and highlight the button.

Yours are probably under the user "Owner" Try looking here: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\amulet\save

I'm sending you a save for the beer bottle puzzle just in case you find a place to put it. Don't know why it's so hard to find the saves.

Just to let you know I found my saved games under a slightly different wording to the one above

C:\Documents and Settings\Log on\Local settings etc..

I don't know why mine is called Log on and not Owner I had before been looking under User which was the other file and seemed the closest to Owner. Thank you Richard and Mag for all your help.

bravo

I am stuck at the assembly of the dragon in the temple maze. I have a picture of the completed dragon, I have figured out its a matter of moving various pieces and blocking them with other pieces to move them into place. I got it put together but one of the feet must have been wrong. Since that happened I had to reset the game and now I am really stuck. I have kept going back every few hours for several days and its whipped me into submission. If anyone has a saved game just after the assembly of the dreaded dragon, please share it with me. If that is not the case maybe you can let me know the order you used in placing the pieces. Thank You for any information you can share.

Thank you very much Kjos...that was fast and I appreciate your sharing this with me. I will transfer the saved game to my save directory and give it a try. Wow...it will be nice to go on with the game because I have up to this point really enjoyed it.
