Ana, Do all the SH games have 360 view? I just started playing Nemesis and I have to actually wear sea sick bands and I'm not usually sensitive to motion.

Puzzler, this one allows you to switch from 1st to 3rd person. No seasickness. The Awakened Remastered is also that way. You won't have any problems.

I thought Frogwares were going to 'remaster' Nemesis also. I may have got this wrong so is there any news on that?

Speaking about Frogwares, did they forget to make a payment on their Domain name? I can't seem to connect to their website through my normal means. Anyone else have the same problem?

Chrissie -- they plan to remaster Nemesis -- we don't have a definite date for the release of the remastered version yet, though. I suspect they are trying to get Sherlock versus Jack the Ripper out the door first!

Thanks Becky, that's good to know & I will definitely buy that again in the new version. I found the original caused me even more problems with motion sickness than The Awakened & although I got through, my appreciation of the environments was spoilt a lot. What I love about The Awakened Remastered is that you can play in the 3rd person mode that you are comfortable with but switch so easily to 1st person to play for short periods & have a good look around at the environment that you are in. They are quite vast in Nemesis so looking forward to playing it more 'comfortably'

Ana, How do you switch from 1st to 3rd player? I'm new to the gaming thing and am having a blast! How do you know if a game has been redone?

Puzzler -- in The Awakened, you switched from 1st to 3rd by hitting the Escape key. I imagine it'll be something like that in this game.

So Far, The Awakened has been redone, and Nemesis is on the list for a redo in the future.

The Ctrl button will toggle it from 1st to 3rd in Jack the Ripper. It's quite ingenious the way they managed to smoothly incorporate both views depending on your preference. It makes everyone happy. Kudos to Frogwares for this!

Thank you. I have been using the escape key in order to back out of conversation when finished. It's the movement of the mouse when repositioned in a room to look at a picture. So far as long as I wear the motion sickness bracelets I'm better but just cannot play for a long time.

actually you can switch with middle mouse button or "R" key or "left ctrl" key, or from the inventory in Sherlock Holmes the Awakened remastered, and in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper (that I finish today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Before I pre-order my copy from InteractCD, does anyone know if there is a Canadian website that has the game available for pre-order? I've checked Amazon, Best Buy, Future Shop and Compusmart, and none of them have it listed.

Hmm, just visited the website and it now says:



That's quite different from what Dave says on InterAct.

The latest word I've heard from The Adventure Company is that the game will release April 28th. So by the time it reaches stores or customers, it'll probably be early May.

It's only a few weeks off misslilo. They are very close to what they anticipated the release date to be. Interact will be changing the date shortly. It was originally scheduled for April.
