The one that was 270 when I went to bed is now 463. I feel doomed.

I voted I voted. It's amazing that the rules limit you to one vote in 24 hours, but someone manages to get 270 votes in ONE day? Something isn't right here. I'm suspicious that someone created tons of 'fake' email addresses and is using them to stuff the ballot box.

That picture wasn't even on the leaderboard yesterday and today it has 463 votes???? That sounds shaky to me.

Well, they seem to be staying steady at 463, knock-on-wood *knocks on head* while Ana's is still increasing; 717 at last view.

We just need to keep banging away at it.

That photo snuck up on me too! I always look through the ones that have votes and it suddenly appeared and shot up. He's a photographer and posted on Twitter but only has 24 followers. He is also on FaceBook with 38 followers. I have over a 1000 followers on Twitter and 300 friends on FaceBook and a bunch of people sharing it. I'm scratching my head. The math isn't working for me but I guess it is what it is.

Yikes! That other one is really catching up fast. When I went to vote I still had an hour to wait and then I got involved in a game so I lost some hours now and threw my voting time way off schedule.

Does anyone else think the hundreds of votes a day the second place picture is getting seems a little fishy? When I checked this morning he had an extra 200 votes from when I went to bed. Who is voting in the middle of the night?

I asked my computer guru programmer friend and he says it might be a 'bot' program that just keeps voting on all of his email addresses, which he probably created. If he owns a business, he probably can create as many as he wants. Maybe the 'sponsors' of the contest might wanna check up on some of the 'addresses' that are being used to vote. I'll bet they are numbered 1-1000 or alphabetic a-z...A-Z...aa-zz etc. So easy. I have a business account and can probably make up fake addresses (would NEVER do that) but some people are just not playing fair. Either that, or he has millions of friends and you did check his Facebook, etc. and that's not the case. Not fair, just not fair. Waiting to cast MY vote.

AHA...just read the TOTAL RULES for this contest. There are lots of prizes. Some are judged by the organizers and have nothing to do with the number of votes. Some are random drawings and one is the total votes thingy. I still think you have a good shot at it Ana, even if that other guy goes beyond the total you have.

Well I hope the organizers notice the voting flux too. That is great that there is more than one prize.

I was told by developer friends who also did the math and said it looks like a bot. If it's fsair and square bless his heart, but if not, karma has a way of taking care of that.

Well I just voted and it is 784 for you to 658 for him so let's see what it is in the morning. I feel like someone should email the site and ask them to look at the voting.

Like you said if it is legit God bless him but it just doesn't seem like an exceptional photo in my opinion. I may be biased.

I am concerned with the picture of the bird that is in 2nd place right now, It went from 0 to 400 in the first day and now is over 632.. I would hate to think someone has hacked the system and is using bots to post emails... is there a way this could be looked into?

Yep, it was bothering me as well, especially when they hit the 700 vote mark. That was the last straw for me so, did the same thing through their "contact us" link. Hopefully they really will look into it.

I'm losing my faith that he has that many friends. Something smells fishy to me.
