Syberia 1 will not play on my computer, but oddly enough Syberia II plays fine. Is there a patch or assessory I need to play Syberia on Windows 10?

If this is the CD version of the Syberia game, it won't work on any computer with a dual or multi-core processor or hyperthreading without the patch.

That's pretty much any computer since 2002.

If you can't find the patch by doing a web search for
syberia patch
there are instructions for disabling hyperthreading and/or additional cores here

Sometimes playing using compatibility mode helps.

If this is a downloaded version of Syberia 1 it will already include the old patch mentioned above and there may be additional problems with Windows 10 if the game isn't working. Maybe the suggestions here will help:

but this patch is ONLY for the first release of the game from 2002.

Re-issue versions that were released after the patch was made available should already include the patch, whether they are on DVD or are downloads.

I'm not aware of any patch other than this one, which fixes several problems with the original 2002 version of the game -- which is why it's called an sp (service pack) patch.

There is certainly good reason to buy Syberia for $2 from a download site like GOG if you currently have a disc version -- especially if you are using Windows 10.
