Very dank and gloomy in Chicagoland last two days. Sky's been whitish grey; thought it was the smoke from Cal fires, but web says those passed earlier this month. Oh, well. Doing some clearing out and reorganizing so I can bring stuff in from garage and put my car away before end of Oct. After last year's Halloween surprise, don't trust when the first snow will come. My cable went out yesterday. After fiddling with the company to figure out what was wrong inside my home, finally told them to send someone out. The 'new norm' seems to be having to beg a service person to come out. Recently called to get a new remote. Had the first one 5 years and, of course, dropped it several times. Had to answer several questions about was wrong with it before they finally agreed. I just don't get it. Oh, well,...
