ive been trying to get the locked desk to open by putting in the code thats in the tower but nonthing happenedwhat am i doing wrong

Have you checked the walkthrough to make sure you've done everything you need to first? Maybe missed a step?

I would suggest watching a video walkthrough for this part of the game. It is a difficult game and I needed quite a bit of help with it myself.
