I don't use it, but it appears to be a good addition. I have the paid version of Malwarebytes with runs in real time and stops any malware before it gets to my computer.

I have 4.5.4. I have not received any notices to update it recently, so maybe I have an update coming.

I have the paid version also but yes I still get those requests. I don't add it.

Thank you. I just hate seeing it tell me that I'm "not fully protected", but all of that fine print stuff when you accept the program makes me feel like IT is malware. Truthfully, I'm starting to find both Malwarebytes and Norton to be getting annoying.

I used to sometimes run Malwarebytes - the free version - occassionally. But I find the protection offerred by "Norton 360 + Norton Utilities" (alongside with their Firewall) to be excellent

oldbroad, repeat to yourself. Ignore it. Ignore it. Ignore it. They want to make you feel like you really NEED something when you don't!
Mad, it does offer excellent protection. However, it was much too intrusive and bossy for me. I much prefer Malwarebytes alongside Windows Defender. It still wouldn't hurt to run a free Malwarebytes scan once in a while as no program is 100% by itself.

oldbroad, I've already checked it out. I just haven't gotten the nag to add it. As I said, ignore.

Starcom, it's right at the top of the main screen when you open Malwarebytes. There's an orange shield and it says "Careful, you're not fully protected. Some security issues require your attention." And then there's a button to click to "view details". The details state the browser guard is what I'm not protected with in my "online privacy". Everything else is checked off that it is protecting me: Real-Time protection, software updates, general settings, device scan and where you are talking about, Web, Malware, Ransomware, and Exploit - all on. It is DEFINITELY regarding the browser guard. Everything else is fine. Thank you though!

I seldom open Malwarebytes. I have it set to do a scan every day at a certain time and unless there is an issue I need to address, I don't open it. I see it there, but I ignore it.

LOL! I just let it run it's own scan once a day. No need for me to do me.
