This has been a pain since I started using WIin 10. The Printscreen key doesn't work, never has.
Apparently I'm supposed to use the Snipping Tool instead, which is annyong beyond belief. I don't need multiple steps to do what i used to be abel to accomplish in a couple of keystrokes.
Is there a way to use the prt sc key on WIN in? Or do I really have to use a separate tool?
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

NO! You use Windows Key + Printscreen to take a screenshot. It saves your screenshot to a folder oddly called "screenshots!" He, he! I use the Snipping Tool all the time when I only want a picture of part of the screen. Windows Key + Printscreen screenshots the entire screen. I don't know how it is on a laptop, but on a regular keyboard, it is Prt Sc on top - which means it also requires either the Function key or the Windows key is needed- and Sys Rq on the bottom. From what I understand Sys Rq has no function in Windows!

On my computer (Razer) I have to use The windows key, fn key and then F12 prt sc. I have it to my pictures folder, screenshots and or video

Okay, well, I'll try those.
I've already tried the Win+ Prt sc, and that didn't seem to work, but one of the others will work, I'm sure. I specifically need to send printscreen to an email. I've run into several tech-related issues with web pages where Custmer Service can't help me without one.
Thanks!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Let us know! I'm working with a friend on a laptop and would like to know how it works on a laptop with Fn keys.

Well, one of those worked. Now I have to run through it all again and work out which one. ------------ It was the fn/Windows Prtsc combo Now I can screenshot to my heart's content! Thanks everyone.
