Hi All,
I've checked online for answers to this question, have tried a few things that I'm sort of able to do, but can't get Overseer to work - no sound and no video. My computer is Windows 10, 64 bit, Intel-Core i5, NVidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti.
Help!

This is not helpful but GOG shows only Windows XP and Vista for this game.

Melia, does overseer even launch? Was it installed from a disk or a download from Steam or GOG?

Depending on your answers, this game does not run in Windows 10 without some tweaking.

I know several people running this game on Windows 10, but first let's hear whether you are trying to play from a download, and if so, from where. Some of it depends on your particular configuration as to what will need tweaking.

I have heard that the GOG version is more stable than the Steam version - but that does not mean that it won't need tweaking nevertheless.

I got the game through GOG. (I contacted them, too, but they never responded.) It does seem to launch because I get a black screen with the responses that I'm supposed to pick. Unfortunately I have no idea what happened.

Edit: I went to GOG and someone posted a suggestion that I download ffdshow and then re-start the game and a popup should appear. I did, but there was no popup.
Still no sound. There was an error message saying "unable to activate mpeg2 driver. As for sound, the instructions said to change the sound to Microsoft MIDI Mapper. It was already there.

Meanwhile, nothing worked.

Since you got the game from GOG, I would wait to see what they have to say.

When I downloaded the ffdshow for 32 bit rather than 64 bit it suddenly started to work!

Glad you got it figured out, Melia. That was one of the things I was going to suggest that you try.

By the way, I have never written to GOG and not had a reply, and usually the response time was quite fast. Sorry this happened to you.
