For those of you who may not have received the email, Big Fish has introduced a new perk for Game Club members called "The Catch" whereby we can pick up a selected game for FREE ... ZERO POINTS ... NADA ... BUPKIS !! Today's game is "Lost Lands: Redemption" CE so, if you don't already have it in your collection, now is the time to pick it up. I'm on my way to take advantage of this new perk right now because I have no idea how long the deal will last.

Oh, you're very welcome! This new perk was a nice surprise and, since I don't always receive Big Fish's notifications or read them in time, I didn't want anyone to miss out on the sale! I have 3 other games in the Lost Lands series, but not this one, so I just finished downloading it. In Canadian dollars, I'm saving about $9.60 (which is what I would pay for a 65% off sale without points), so it's an even better deal for me ! I'm sure you'll be able to cash in on one of these deals because I had to check my Purchase History to see if I already had it and was surprised that I didn't.

I'm still playing the main game of "Gloomy Tales: Horrific Show", so it's nice to have something waiting in the wings when I'm finished.

Is there any information about this perk on BigFish webpage? I'm a member but don't believe I ever got any notice at all about a 'catch of the day' free game. I'm assuming this is not every day but just a once in awhile thing?

Wow, that was quick ! I already have that one, but was able to take advantage of the first two offers, so I'm happy. I just finished playing "Mystery Case Files: The Last Resort" CE and, even though I thought it was quite short (especially the Bonus Game), I did enjoy it very much.

I am glad to hear that you liked the new MCF. Considering the fact that the developers were in the middle of a war zone when they were making the game, it's a bit miraculous that we got a new MCF at all. I think I will enjoy the game.

Not sure when this is going to be released, but it's good to know that another one is in the works.

I did not realize that the developer is in Ukraine, so I completely agree with you. I'm sure you will enjoy the game, and I especially enjoyed the mega puzzles because they were a lot of fun and not overly difficult. The HO scenes were fun as well. I just received an email from Big Fish with a link to download the Beta version of "MCF: The Dolimar Legacy". I downloaded but haven't played it yet, and I was surprised that there will be another new one so soon.

I am warming up to this Big Fish perk! Nice that they keep changing it up and offering up some collector's editions for free. A few times I owned the regular version so nice to upgrade.

I did pick up the SE of "The Forgotten Tales: The Spectra World" with a coupon, but somehow managed to miss "Canvases of Time". I must say I'm really enjoying "The Catch" and it definitely makes up for the change in the U.S. exchange rate because this is the fourth game that I've gotten for free .

Of course, the entire game is mostly brand new to me because, other than a few flashes of recognition here and there, I don't remember much about it .

Thanks once again for the heads up. I bought a lot of games in 2018 and have other games in the series but, apparently, this wasn't one of them . I just finished playing the last free game I picked up, so the timing couldn't have been better. I downloaded and installed this one and am looking forward to playing it.

I must say that I'm really enjoying this new perk, and it takes most of the sting out of the increased prices for games and monthly membership fee due to the higher U.S. exchange rate.

Marian lost power on Friday in the major snowstorm in California. To my knowledge (from the power company) I was told it was restored last night but I haven't heard from her so she may still not have internet. She got a few feet of snow I think!

Hope Marian is okay. I live in coastal Los Angeles area and can attest that this storm was something else! Almost hurricane like winds combined with tons of rain and hail. Mountain regions got snowed in like crazy. Looks like the worst is now over though but still very chilly outside.

Something weird -

I tried the 'Catch' yesterday. Added it to my cart, and checked out. The price automatically changed to zero, as expected. Then, after downloading and installing, it appeared in My Games as a demo with 90 minutes to play - not at the full game activated. What's up with that?

On Big Fish's website, go to "Purchase History" and then "My Game Downloads". Try downloading the game from there. and see if it works.

Tally Ho, you can also try starting up the game, then exiting - on the exit page you will see a question asking you if you have already purchased the game - click on the link to reactivate and the full game will download and install.

Also, this offer is only free for Game Club members - not sure if you are one? The first post in this thread talks about the Catch being a perk for Game Club members.
