Peterborough, UK - April 12th, 2023. Indie developers D’Avekki Studios are thrilled to announce the release of their supernatural whodunit Murderous Muses, which launches today on Steam, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.
Murderous Muses invites players to solve a sinister murder by spending three reality-shifting nights in a haunted art gallery. Controversial artist Mordechai Grey was murdered by one of his portrait suspects and players investigate by hanging paintings to restore the victim’s memories.
Unusually for a murder mystery, the game is infinitely replayable, with six potential murderers, Cluedo-style deduction, and a layered narrative that gets fleshed out the more they play. As well as procedurally generated galleries that change every night, Murderous Muses also features replayable puzzles and collectible urns that unlock more of the story.
The game is also the studio’s first to combine 3D with FMV, following the critical success of FMV-only games The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker, The Shapeshifting Detective, and Dark Nights with Poe and Munro.
Murderous Muses is available now, at a launch price of £11.99 / $13.99 / €13.99. Review keys can be requested via
