I cannot get Incubus to install. I have unzipped the package getting a Incubus Setup Folder. Clicking on it I get the Application Setup. Going through the install process I get this message:

"Set Up Error - Could not read setup package".

I have contacted support in the meantime any suggestions would be appreciated

This could mean the file is missing something or that a file got corrupted. You might want to try to re-download it. Apart from that, contacting support is your best bet.

So, what was the issue, Orion? Because I'm thinking of ordering directly from them too.

Incubus was very compressed and some files were not downloading. They have fixed the issue by updating the installer. At the same time they released this patch:

"Incubus Update

A new edition of Incubus is now available – Version 1.07d.

Changes improve playback performance and include the Option to turn Motion Blur on/off.

Lower Resolution Edition: With many gamers playing on smaller screens and laptops, we have produced a lower resolution of the game which will vastly improve loading times and memory usage. Download Version 1.07d LR - Reduces GPU and Ram usage.

'Clicker' ghosts now affect the house lights seen on CCTV, when they are the active phenomena.

Nighttime radio music plays new evening tracks, more suited to night.

Ghost Box can now be Voice Activated using Middle Mouse as well as Spacebar. (Zooming this gadget still works on the Z key)

The version number can be seen on the Main Menu under the Incubus logo."



Matt said when Incubus is released to Steam ask for a Key

I was given a direct download off site that gave me the full download.

Really good of them to include a lower resolution version for players on smaller screens and laptops, and I told Jonathan this on Twitter yesterday. He showed me a screenshot of the lower resolution version and I really could not see any difference between that and the standard resolution.
