This adventure is inventory based and is designed so you don't get stuck and quit. You access collected inventory with a right click of the mouse button, it will slide out from the right. You can combine items. You have integrated puzzles using inventory along with these integrated "mini games". After a bit a "Skip Mini Game" will slide out. There is also an in-game walkthrough if needed. You also have a "hotspot" locator. A tutorial will help you along in the beginning. You can save at will. You have the option to continue or load a save on the main menu. In my opinion this is one of the best P&C designed games out there today. They are far and few between anymore. I could go on with more about Monolith but I have always said a good way to check out a game is a video. If you don't mind playing a sci-fi you need to check this one out. I did not have too much difficulty playing it. I did not need the walkthrough but it was nice knowing that help was there if needed. Playing the demo is the best way to get a feel for the game or you can watch it here. It is the beginning of the game

Monolith got an update which includes this feature:

"Start from the end of the demo version: Players of the new demo version can now load their demo saves in the main game, or use "Continue" in the main menu to load the last autosave directly and continue playing straight away."

This is a nice feature. I hope it continues to catch on. I enjoy playing demos and would like to continue "playing straight away" if purchased

I played the prologue of Nemezis from Steam and "continued" the game on GOG. I thought it was weird but good that I didn't have to replay I guess.

I think you might have come across something here oldbroad. Apparently that prologue was programmed to save in the same location on the PC as the main game making those saves accessible when you got the game from a different site. I wonder if some demos are doing the same.

One point that is pertinent to this demo subject is that some demos do not start at the beginning of the game.

Well, I thought a "prologue" was something before the game started but I now know (at least with some of them) that it is the beginning of the game. I don't like that. I don't usually play demos and now I don't want to try prologues anymore either.

I never play either !!
I like to attack a game from “fresh” - so if I end up not liking it it’s entirely my own fault 🙄

I don't think that's the norm, oldbroad. First I heard of it and I agree, I would assume it is something tied to, but completely independent of the full game.

I think I've only played two prologues and both were the beginning of the games: Nemezis and Syberia 4. duh
