Syberia 1 had issues with dual core processors and with the XP operating system. What OS are you using? Was it when you were installing the game or when you were trying to start the game? Have you tried using the compatibility settings?

Are you trying to run the game on your Vista computer?

Have you checked for updates to your video card drivers?

Hi to both of you this message came up on all the system I
was trying to run it on during the instalation of the game but
I continued to install it to see what would happen when the game
ran it got have way through and it didn't play the way it was
Suppose to the walkthrough said to go back to the go back to
The giant Robot and change the control panel inside but it would
Not go back so I gave up saved the game and closed it out
I will try going to the combatability mode and see what happen
it suppose to be a windows 98 and Xp game but I am playing on

When you say it didn't play the way it was supposed to, what do you mean? Did everything move really slowly like molasses? If it did, that is the dual core issue. Do you know what kind of processor your Vista computer has?

Most people had to install the Syberia SP3 patch. I was unable to fine it in a reliable download anywhere except for Mystery Manor. We have this patch there. You might go ahead and download the patch and see if it helps.

I can't tell from just that information. What were you doing when you saw the error?

Some possible causes are:

It can happen due to various factors, such as corrupted files, third-party app interference, malware, or just a dying drive showing its age. Many times an incomplete program installation can cause issues. Other times, registry files can get corrupted, making your drive malfunction.

Bluto, cyclic redundancy check in my experience is what you can sometimes see as an error message when trying to install a game on CD, meaning that it is no good any longer in that some files on the CD are no longer readable.

Have you cleaned the CD while checked for any visible scratches? That sometimes will put things to right with problems of this kind.

Hopefully, that's all it is, Marian! I've never seen the error myself.
