Going back to #12, you would hear it if you were inside the car...

12. Is it someone moving a seat forward or backward in an older car?

Just having a laugh 😑
Every car I’ve ever owned, including my current one, has had a handbrake.
And in the UK, they are neither considered old fashioned OR for emergencies !!
But then you know us Brits …. Totally traditional, if nothing else 😝

I’ve driven “automatic” cars but never owned one.
And so my cars have always had 3 foot pedals .. accelerator, brake and clutch .. plus a hand brake.
Interesting how cars can be designed differently ….
(But, being off topic, I’d better now say cheerio 😬)

"Off topic" is never dull, Mad Over here, traditional handbrakes seem to be being replaced by small electric levers. Don't like them much, they haven't got the "feel" of the old ones

I’ve not heard of that innovation before, Urban Worrier, even though one of my relatives normally has every new thing “car-wise” going !! 😬
