Good day everyone!

In case of emergency there are instant coffee and knäckebröd rations in the Break room.
Not sure if they are useful against hornets. Probably not. Over here no bug plague presently.
Still spring and not many insects yet. Sooner or later they'll arrive but not yet.

The witches on the other hand are back tonight. This time candy is not enough to scare them away.
Instead we light bonfires. Most excellent witch repellant. Because they never stop to make miscief but keeps flying to whatever their destination. Possibly Häcklefjäll or Blåkulla.

Happy Walpurgis Night Gameboomers
Be safe out there

Good Wednesday morning! Started the early morning hours with yet another thunderstorm and more rain. I'd like for it to stop for a few days, but it sure is making my asparagus grow!

Hubby took Bella the Bloodhound in to the groomer's this morning. She's so big she won't fit in my little truck, so he has to take his. You'd think a Bloodhound has a short coat and wouldn't shed so much, but she has this thick undercoat and sheds huge literal PILES of it. She even has clumps on her hindquarters. We can't get down to groom her any more, so we take her to the "spa!" She smells incredibly bad too, so at least for awhile she won't be so stinky! I do have to remind them to not use heavily scented products on her though. They did once and I'm not sure who hated it more - her or me! Her sense of smell is so far beyond anything humans can perceive.

The hummingbirds are really thick this morning... so nice to hear them chittering and arguing over the feeders again.

Connie, I am so relieved to hear your friend is continuing to improve. What a relief it must be for her family and friends.

Happy Wednesday to you all!

Fogfighter, will you be singing and dancing around the bonfires?

I was hearing some Cardinals outside yesterday but unfortunately could not see them through my window.

Nothing going on here today (as usual) except I need to try to cook something.

Enjoy the day everybody!

Fogfighter, have you ever seen this video taken at a Walpurgis festival in Germany?

Good day everyone!

First of May. A public holiday over here. Kind of Labour Day.
No singing for me yesterday but the locals arranged some event with a pretty good choir and a big bonfire at the lake. Apparently very successful because no witches sighted.
Thanks for showing that clip draclvr. That explains all. Apparently the witches got scared away as intended, but I never knew they flew to Germany instead. Witches never dance like that over here. At least not in public.

Happy first of May GameBoomers!

Good morning everyone. We haven't seen any hummingbirds since our last sighting... they must have been traveling. Wonderful to hear Steph continues to improve. Send that rain down here Draclvr. Glad to hear you got your walk in Gerry.

Time for another cup of WADDB and bagel.

Happy May Day everyone ... whew, time is flying!

Good Thursday morning! First morning without a thunderstorm in nearly a week. But very chilly - sweatshirt weather on May 1!

Heading in town to make some changes at the bank for our Trusts that the lawyer suggested. Since we are kind of a his, hers and ours situation, we wanted to get everything in a Trust. He has part ownership in a family farm here and I inherited 80 acres of farmland up in Iowa, so we brought all that into the Trust too.

Bowling is over, so NOW what do I do on Thursday nights!
