Mystery House is a chilling 3D horror-adventure from the producer of Colossal Cave comes Mystery House — a terrifying rebirth of Roberta Williams’ legendary 1980 adventure, reimagined as a haunting 3D/VR horror experience.. Explore a decaying mansion, solve cryptic puzzles, and uncover a deadly secret. Switch between first- and third-person as you navigate a haunting world where every choice could be your last.

Check out the trailer here.

Quote
Step into the shadows of Mystery House—a chilling homage of the groundbreaking Roberta Williams classic that gave birth to the graphical adventure genre. What begins as a nostalgic game night among eight friends in an abandoned mansion quickly descends into a waking nightmare.

The house is no ordinary relic of the past. Its walls breathe with secrets. Its rooms are veiled in puzzles. And something—or someone—doesn’t want you to leave alive.

Choose your perspective: move through the mansion’s haunted halls in immersive first-person, or take a calculated step back in third-person as the tension mounts. Every door you open, every corner you turn, could bring you closer to the truth—or seal your fate.

Mystery House is more than a tribute. It’s a descent into a beautifully twisted 3D world where the line between play and peril dissolves—and only the most perceptive will survive what lies within.

The gates of Mystery House creak open, and you—grandchild of the legendary detective —have been invited to play a game. But this is no ordinary game. What begins in jest quickly spirals into something far more sinister.

As you explore the sprawling estate, you’ll uncover cryptic clues, solve twisted puzzles, and unravel a dark legacy that refuses to stay buried. The deeper you go, the more the truth claws its way out—and the clearer it becomes: this isn’t a game. It’s real.

And it wants you dead.

You’ll need every ounce of wit, courage, and intuition to survive the night, expose the secrets hidden within these walls, and escape with your life intact.

Choose Your View of the Nightmare
Seamlessly shift between immersive first-person and strategic third-person perspectives. Each angle reveals different truths—and dangers—hidden within the mansion’s shadowy halls.

A Legacy Unearthed
Inspired by the original Mystery House, this reimagining weaves a deeper, modern narrative, complete with voice acting and cinematic moments that draw you into a tale of secrets, betrayal, and survival.

Every Room Tells a Story
Step inside a richly detailed 3D world where every creaking floorboard, flickering light, and forgotten object adds to the chilling atmosphere of the estate.

Mind Over Terror
Put your logic and detective instincts to the test with intricate puzzles that don’t just challenge you—they evolve with the story and deepen the mystery.

Touch the Past
Interact with relics, notes, and artifacts throughout the mansion. Some may hold clues… others, warnings.

Sound That Follows You
A haunting, dynamic soundtrack composed by award winning composer Dan Policar (The Crimson Diamond) shapes itself to your experience—building tension, guiding emotion, and breathing life into every dark corridor.

A Virtual Reality Experience

An immersive experience for all your senses when you put on your PC connected VR headset.

Uncover Every Corner
Explore the mansion at your own pace, searching through forgotten rooms, hidden passages, and long-sealed spaces. Every shadow hides a clue. Every drawer could reveal the truth—or something worse.

Tools of Survival
Collect, inspect, and combine key items using a streamlined inventory system designed to blend seamlessly into your investigation. Sometimes the smallest object is the key to escape.

Your Choices Shape the Nightmare
Every decision matters. With multiple endings shaped by the clues you find and the paths you choose, each playthrough offers new twists, new truths, and new terrors.

Prepare for a journey into the unknown—where every room tells a story, and some stories refuse to stay buried. "Mystery House" isn’t just a game... it’s a descent into something you won’t forget.

Happy Gaming!

This is good. I like the trend of remaking old, solid games. It introduces them to a new generation of players, and makes for an almost 100 % replayability for us older players. Can we have Colonel's Bequest next, please?
