Good Wednesday morning! Started raining last night about 1 am and hasn't stopped. It's a nice light rain and not stormy at all, so guess I'll just do some inside things I've been putting off... such as clearing off the disaster on my computer desk!

The smoke from the wildfires in Canada have made for some spectacular sunsets here.

Good dreary morning! We've been having that light rain here too. We had the fire smoke last week.

I would swear my brother came up and knocked on my bedroom door to get me up, but he says no, and it isn't really something he would do so I don't know what I heard. Last night I was hearing noises while I was still up sitting at my computer, but that is not unusual. I used to think some of them were the cats but I still hear them so I guess they are just house noises, or maybe ghostly visitors.

My 100+ year old farmhouse makes noises too, oldbroad! I've grown used to them over the last 32 years! Although, I have do doubt I had "visitors" at one point when I was caring for my 2nd husband before he passed away of colon cancer. Once I heard footsteps on the stairs and there was no one else in the house besides us and he was asleep. Another time some items on a wall flew off and landed across the room. For 3 days after he passed, the cat was terrified to come out from under the bed!

It's been a busy week here. I'm getting the house washed, stained and trim painted. The smoke is here from the wild fires in Canada and the heat and humidity are on the rise...hopefully the rain holds off.

I may walk early this morning...like you said yesterday soot, a slow walk!

Good Thursday morning! Rain finally stopped, but it is really muddy out there, so no work in the gardens.

Our granddaughter is in an Intelligence unit in the Army. She got married while she and her fiance were deployed to Poland. He is from Puerto Rico and has two littles from his first marriage. They have them here in the States for a couple of months this summer. So, my DIL flew down there to take care of the kids for a week while they were at their Army jobs. She said NOW she understands why you have children when you are young and not when you are in your 50's! They are 6 and 4 and just adorable. Luckily they both speak some English! We get to meet them this summer and I can't wait.
