Agrred, soot ! Thanks, Koala. I was rather hoping you would use "flogged", opening up a line like "One 100-metre sprinter for sale cheap. Only 200 races on the clock, just a little too fast with his reactions"
To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self. I wonder what's on television...?

soot, Lady K - spot-on! At school, they taught us about a "terminal morraine" - sounds like the same sort of thing Terminal moraine sounds like something you wouldn't want to catch. The different geological formations left by the glaciers are fascinating -- especially when considering the "time" it took to create them. John McPhee wrote about glaciers and other geological events in some of his books. I always liked his writing because he took potentially dry subjects and gave them life.
A little too much chocolate is just about right.
