Create solutions for the clues by using the available syllables. A question mark after a clue denotes word play or trickery is afoot. The number of syllables in an answer is followed by the number of letters for each clue. Syllables are used only once. After all of the numbered clues are correctly answered, the first and last letters for each solution, read down, will reveal the puzzle's Syl•la•cros•tic Quip: by Captain James Tiberious Kirk. Example: Syllable puzzle [4-12] (solution: syl + la + cros + tic) Starting Syllables:A A AB BAS BAY DA DEM DO DO EARS ELEV EP ER EW GREW HAI HOO HU I IC IN ING INN KEEN KI MA MAN NA O OU OUT RA RA ROCK SCOOP SLEEP SORB SU TAN TI TIB TOT TURE WI YA Sage Advice: = 1. EXTINCT BIRD (2-4) = 2. HEARING DEVICES (1-4) = 3. ALTITUDE ABBREVIATION (1-4) = 4. WIDE SPOUT PITCHER (2-4) = 5. BRUTISH PERSON (2-5) = 6. THE MATERIAL WORLD (2-6) = 7. FINELY SHARPENED (1-4) = 8. Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.
