6. The Jacobson's organ is in the nasal area, just above the roof of the mouth. I know it helps a snake smell. It "tastes" the air by flicking its tongue to pull scent molecules back to the organ. I think lizards also have the organ, but I'm not sure about other animals.
Edit: Quite a few animals have the Jacobson's organ, including cattle, horses, pigs, dogs, cats and some primates. In humans they are vistigial.
