I will have to replay the game some day also!

I finished Episode 10 of Artifact Seekers with 8 stars. I had only 7 but went back in and replayed one puzzle that gave me a star for being quick. I did, however, consult that guide a couple of times in this episode. My brain isn't working as well as it was when I first started playing the game. I'm not understanding some of the puzzles.

I have also been playing Escape Rosecliff Island (hog) and replaying The Spell (match 3).

The developer is Vast Studios. I am enjoying it more than I thought I would. I am finding it quite fun so far.

Yesterday I finished Hidden Expedition: Dawn of Prosperity which I also found to be enjoyable.

Under the Coming Soon section on Big Fish, it says Mystery Case Files: Fate's Carnival Remastered. My first thought was why on earth does this game need remastering? It already looks great. But someone says the game runs with no sound on her Windows 11, so I guess there may be some issues with new operating systems. My second thought is that I hope this isn't the "new Mystery Case Files game" they said they were working on, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Interesting news about the Mystery Case Files game. Maybe they will fix Shadow Lake up one day.

I have taken a few days break from most of my games, casual and adventure. I have only been playing some paint games and a mosaic game called Worlds Greatest Cities which is pretty good except it doesn't save your progress and some of the puzzles require guessing and/or using hints. I don't like the guessing but the losing progress is worse. Hopefully, I will get back to the other games today or tomorrow.

It appears they removed MCF: Fate's Carnival from the BF site. You would think they would remove Dire Grove since it doesn't work.

I finished Episode 11 of Artifact Seekers but only received 4 stars. I couldn't find half of the items I needed for most of the stars and I definitely could not do the required puzzle in the secret room to earn that star. My couple is falling behind another couple, LOL!

Yes, someone mentioned elsewhere yesterday that the original MCF: Fate's Carnival has been de-listed.

There is also a rumor going around that they are working on getting Dire Grove up and running, but it is only a rumor.

As I said above, apparently Windows 11 can have issues with Fate's Carnival on some computers, but I don't know how big of a problem it is.

No, I got frustrated. Gave up, despite the fact that it's from 5BN. Like you, I don't want to pay for hints and skips.

At the moment, playing some of the daily dollar deals. Also some of the "So Much Stuff" series. They are totally mindless. Just takes me out of reality for a while.

Will you end up buying the Artifact Seeker games from Big Fish or do you just not care for the game? I admit that I am getting more frustrated as I go along (like right now). I really should have taken some breaks in between. I am not a person who plays a series straight through from beginning to end and wouldn't have done that with this game if I bought each game separately.

Don't know if you remeber them but Oberon Games/Floodlight Games had some games back in the mid-2000's era. Jane Jensen had a hand in them after she left Sierra. I"m currently playing Agatha Christie's Death of the Nile. I am surprised how hard it is. Some of the hidden objects are easy. Others are excruciatingly hard. Plus the chapter is timed. Falii to finish in time ... start over. But you start over with some different objects rolled into the mix. Like I said, I'm surprise how difficult this is. BTW, AC-DotN was game of the year in 2005 or 2006.

I remember all those games, rtrooney. One of the games that I enjoyed was Dr. Lynch: Grave Secrets which Jane Jensen (of Sierra and Gabriel Knight fame) designed.

Jane also designed Deadtime Stories, another good one in my Purchase History.

In addition te the Poirot series, Jensen designed are few of Christie's Miss Marple games. And co-conspired with James Patterson on a few Women's Murder Club games which I really liked.

No, rtrooney. The game Artifact Seekers is available from Big Fish (multiple games), I assume like any other game with hints and skips. The version I am playing is "free to play" on Steam but you are only allowed a certain number of hints or skips before you have to pay for them. I am ready to start Episode 13 and have used up only one of my "free" skips so far and no hints. I have consulted a guide and some video walkthroughs a couple of times though. Even though the Steam version says "Artifact Seekers 1", I'm pretty sure it includes ALL episodes from all the individual games.

I also enjoyed those other Agatha Christie games and the James Patterson ones, which I have also only on disc. Do you know if they play on current systems? If so, I may re-purchase them for download.

Gamehouse does not list any of the James Patterson games as having a problem with Windows 10; I haven't tried them myself. Not sure about the Agatha Christie ones.

I keep telling myself to try the discs out in my Windows 10 but I am SO lazy! Of course, possibly the discs won't work but the downloads will. I don't know.

I am stuck really early in Episode 13 of Artifact Seekers. The very firs puzzle I think. I'll try again later but will probably have to see if I can find the solution elsewhere.

Elsewhere online I read that you could run into trouble with the CD versions in that you might have to try to run the games in compatibility mode. But of course I can't confirm or deny this.

I just started Donna Brave and the Deathly Tree.

I think Donna Brave - And the Strangler of Paris is the better of the two games. But that's only an opinion,

The downloaded Oberon games play fine on my Win 11 machine. Although I should mention that not all of them will download. I'm guessing that, like the famed Dire Grove issue, it might be a Direct-X problem.

I've got those Donna Brave games as well as the previously mentioned Dr Lynch and Deadtime Stories all installed and waiting to be played.

rtrooney, I'm a little confused. You say the downloaded games play fine but then say not all of them will download. With regard to the James Patterson games, do you know if all of them download, install, and play, or only some of them? I did note on my list of games that the 4th game (on disc) could be played but it didn't actually install on my computer at the time. At this time, many years later, I'm not even sure what I meant by that.
