I just wanted to let everybody know that Robert helped me upgrade my computer because I couldn't play The Witcher (he really is very good at this, so knowledgeable). I now have 3GB of RAM and the EVGA 8600GTS video card. I hope that this upgrade will last until next week. lol

It might last until next Friday. Not sure beyond that smile

Seriously, is The Witcher running good for you?

Hi Robert, I haven't loaded it up yet. I wanted to finish the games that I had. It's sitting on my shelf looking like a reward and a treat for the future.

I'm sure it will play just fine for you, Fil. My 7600 GT (an upgrade also with Robert's guidance) plays the game without a hitch and with everything set on maximum. Well, except grass. I had to turn it off because I couldn't see my defeated enemies so I could raid their bodies for loot!

Hopefully there'll be a demo to test it out first. But if you meet the recommended requirements the graphics should be even better than the console version.

Been waiting for the PC port and just wish I hadnt learned a bit about the story twist.

According to the information given earlier in this thread, there won't be any demo.
