The original Lara Croft Tombraiders game was recently re-released as "Lara Croft Anniversary" but it's the same game, upgraded for Windows XP and Vista. It's not the same. They changed the way you control Lara and reduced the number of things she can do. She can't jump backwards any more. Nor can she jump as high. That means you can't solve the jumping puzzles in the same way. And you have to use different key combinations to accomplish your goals. I wouldn't call it a "reissue." There have been too many changes.

The Anniversary Addition of the first three Myst Games is playable on XP. They are on a DVD disk and I had no problem playing them on XP.

Chrissie -- I'd be interested in knowing if it runs on your other WinXP system. I wonder if there's a difference between the UK Classic version and the US Classic version. Does yours include Win XP in the system requirements? Hi Becky, no, WinXP is not included in the system requirements, only Win 95/98. I've now tried the game on my system, I did have problems to start with - there are 2 discs; disc A installed easily but Disc B froze my PC - I tried a few things but what did seem to work was setting resolution to 16 bit 800x600 - after that installation went smoothly. When you first try to install/launch the game there are some handy options including one to analyze your PC to see if it is has compatible requirements (mine did) & also a detailed trouble shooting guide. N.B The game is also gamepad compatible. On playing through the first few minutes of gameplay there was a problem with the sound which seemed to freeze & stutter so I followed one of the instructions in the TS guide which involved a sound test which resulted in sound buffering being transferred from hardware to software? (Something like that! - sorry I'm no techie!) It did seem to do the trick but only after rebooting my PC! So it does seem that the game can be played on at least some WinXP systems - I know a few minutes of gameplay may not represent any problems that may arise later but I'm sure this would be all down to a little tweaking! If you tell me where to look I'll add the game version & let me know if you need my system specs.

Becky, hi, Jehane -- where have you seen an updated version of Grim Fandango? (I'm curious because I've been looking for one, and even bought what I thought was an updated version of Grim that turned out not to be. :() Even if you have the updated version of Grim Fandango that is supposed to work in XP (I do, it's part of the LucasArts "Entertainment Pack" that was released in some parts of the world in 2002), you will still have problems if you have a Pentium IV with hyperthreading, or a dual core. I'll bet that's all your friend had to do to get it running - disable hyperthreading for Grim Fandango using imagecfg as per my instructions here: http://www.gameboomers.com/Members/legacygameshyperthreading.htmRegards, MetzO'Magic P.S. If you have a real up-to-date PC with an nVidia 8800 graphics card (like I have), you will still be out of luck. The game runs, but the texturing does not work properly, and Manny and the other characters appear with stripes running through them. Nothing you can do to fix this :-\

I've checked my Grim Fandango, it appears to be exactly the same as Chrissie's. There's no mention anywhere of being XP compatible, just Windows 95/98 - but it plays perfectly on XP. The only glitch was me, stumbling around banging into the furniture & walls!

The updated version of TLJ, which comes on 2 CD's (or maybe a DVD), has lots of patches. http://www.longestjourney.com/help/patches/It looks like there are even some for Vista.
