I am laughing my head off. (I can only wish it were something else...) I can relate to most of these and eveything has been so humerous. Pause while I wipe off my orange-sticky (Cheetos) keys. What a hilarious 14 year old ... just proves to me that games do enhance the mind. And cats! My Aunt Clara is very good at nudging my hand ie. mouse at the very wrong moment and resulting in dire threats which are never carried out, of course. What a great thread. I don't feel so alone here at GB!! My hubbie is very patient as to my game addiction but actually, nobody in my real world really gets it. What a refreshing moment!

I agree with all of them EXCEPT I sometimes FORGET to eat. For days. Will bathe, but not sleep or eat. I also have to think long and hard about the 'not tossing the pc out the window' part. I think it's because of #1 that I haven't tossed it yet.

Uh oh, he knows it from experience.

When this thing finally cr*ps out for good I'm gonna take it out into this huge field behind our house and destroy it.

I'll take everything out I can reuse beforehand, though.

agree with everyone!!! good laughs.. and speaking of crumbs in
keyboard, maybe that is why my Q key doesnt work, I need to copy paste it from other sources, just glad its not the R key!!!!

Well it is a blue tooth and will be glad to get a new keyboard,
30.cause I need my pc decked out for GAMES, with all the RIGHT SPECS and Hard/Software...

I gave my husband one of my old PC's and am taking it back, to put a Dos Box on it, so I can play my growing pile of older games, like Shivers, and Gabriel Knights....
it never ends, and happily never will !!!!

Bets, always happens to me mad

I do answer the phone but family may be greeted with "Just a sec--it's a crucial cutscene and I can't pause it."

What number are we on now?

The true gamer really confuses folks when answering the politely tendered inquiry "What are you doing?"

Instead of answering "playing a game" I often answer something like "Crawling through a sewer trying to kill enough orcs to come out alive at the end." or "Spraying these stupid wasps so I can get a loquat for the iguana."

These answers often elicit an incredulous "What?"

Can so relate to that one! Last week a co-worker asked if I had plans for the evening and I told her that I had to rescue Nancy Drew from the sewers because I'd left her in there for about two weeks due to being so busy recently. Her response: "You left who where??"

I keep telling people I have caught a dragonfly/seahorse/squid & have donated it to a museum. Currently loving Animal Crossing on my DS.
PS I got stung by a fraudster & bought a forged painting too !

If people give me any lip, I tell them: "I've walked the streets of Pompeii before Vesuvius erupted. I've explored the Pyramids right after they were built. I've visited the Amazon and the Arctic and I've been to the center of the Earth. Can you say the same?" lol

I've been a space janitor, a "mighty pirate", private investigators and police detectives. I've even been a woman. And I was a bug once.
