I know that there is a helm that Trail mentioned, I think I have it already from a bandits cave. There is also the feather robe that I want back badly, I had to give it up for a quest for either Fighters or Redoran, in the Redas Tomb. Anyway, I say if you had it and sold it, then it is ok to use the cheat to get it back. I now sell only to the Creeper, haven't found Mudcrab yet, at least I know he will still have it. I really should make an inventory of the stuff on the floor and in the cabinet.

I suppose theoretically you could sell a quest item by mistake, though I don't remember that happening to me. Often the quest items are kind of WOWish things that you'd probably want to keep, or at least sell to the Creep because you get full price.
As Hawk sez, and I agree, if you goofed and sold something important and you can't find it again and it's getting in the way of the game, cheats are OK (says me, playing Gothic 2 NOTR, having just Marvin-modded in a blank spell rune because I made a second Fire Arrow rune by mistake, intending to exit from the Rune Table and hitting the wrong dialogue option).
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Yep and if you can't find the code for it, we will all help you look it up. Hey Mad, have you had any other travel people disappear on you? Both in Balmora and Ald'ruhn the siltstrider operators are hiding down beneath the strider or around the corner, what's up with that? Maybe they are hiding from the critters out there. I always wonder why the Cliffracers go after me when all the NPC's are cruising about unarmed. It is kind of neat when a guard helps me out though, but I am scared that I am going to whack him by accident.

Hi hawkavonpuka "Yep and if you can't find the code for it, we will all help you look it up."I might just have to hold you to that !! Yes, I did find those ride operators had suddenly disappeared. Thought it was a bug at first and then I found one by accident And I have whacked the wrong person by accident (more than once) and had to go back to a prior save. [Didn't want to sully my name, pay gold OR go to jail !! ] Going for some sleep now so see you later, no doubt Cheers. Mad

Hi guys, it looks as if I might have despaired too quickly because of my recent loss of a harddrive, fearing I had lost all my RPG gamesaves. I was ecstatic last night to find a whole bunch of Oblivion gamesaves in my old "My Documents" folder, which I do keep backed up on a seperate drive. I was just wondering... could anybody tell me where Morrowind keeps it's gamesaves? I was about three quarters there (or even closer) to becoming a Telvanni Councillor (after having done the other 2 Houses in seperate playthroughs) In my most recent playthrough I was also planning to become a Vampire and a Wherewolf, and I was also quite high up now in the Temple and in the Thieve's guild, as I never quite made it right to the top with them, in my previous playthroughs. Come to think of it, I don't think I completely made it with the Assassins either, especially seeing that I always leave them until last, because they make you kill useful people. Anyway, point is - I really would not like to start from scratch again, so I'm really hoping to find one of my gamesaves somewhere.

Where is the Creeper? Haven't run into him yet.
Did any of you do the Illunbi Cave quest in Gnaar Mok? I'm supposed to pick up the dread corpus disease and Caius will help me out and this is supposed to determine whether I'm "the one?" I'm down there and even killed one of those really nasty flaming dudes. I don't know if I want to complete this quest just yet???
Made level 16 last night after finally getting out of that Urshilaku Tomb. I did a lot of the side burials besides getting the Bonebiter Bow.

Draclvr, Caius gave me that quest but I know I am far to low a level to attempt it yet. The UHS hints says level 15 and well-equipped, so I am trying to finish up some old quests first. What is in the side burials, any good stuff? Seems like it brought you up some levels, maybe I need to go back in.
Moondancer if you have XP, then your saves are in Program Files, Bethesda, Morrowind, if you take screenshots, they will be saved there also.

Thanks for your help, guys - very sadly for me, it seems that I have indeed then lost my gamesaves. Anyway - so I've re-installed and started all over again. Strange the nostalgic effect that getting off that ship again had on me - especially the sounds- the theme song and the Silt-strider. :summer: Anyway, for the first time ever, I chose Thievery as my speciality, to see if it will let me move (run) faster, and it does. I like to choose "The Lady" as my birthsign, as it gives one a very useful personality and endurance bonus.. I decided to walk (run) to Balmora from Seyda Neen, as I know enough by now to steal everthing in sight in Seyda Neen to get decent enough weapons and armour for all the little beasties along the way. So I'm already hammering at that experience. Run, fight and sleep, rinse, repeat. Reached Balmora, joined Fighters and Mage's guilds, already got mushrooms for mage quest in Seya Neen (Well, about 50 of each, but I sold the rest) Delivered package to Caiius, off to join thieves next. All in a few hour's work! I cheated in the beginning of my previous replay (you know- console cheats) because I didn't feel like the tedium of starting from scratch, but it spoiled the experience for me, and this time around, I'm not touching the console!

Yeah, I'm thinking that I'm going to abandon this quest for now even though I'm level 15 and have killed a ton of baddies down here. I'm stuck at an Ash Ghoul who keeps throwing shock waves at me and I only have a Bargain Resist Shock potion. I'm pretty well equipped, but probably not well enough...
Moondancer, glad to hear you are zooming right along! I'm sure you will catch up to me and pass in no time..
Yes, Hawka, there is a ton of good stuff in the side tombs in Urshilaku, but there are also a ton of Chamption Skeletons!

I would wait on that one also, since that is part of the Main Quest it is bound to be tough. Today I finished up the killing the Necromancer quest at Vas, it was pretty easy this time, boy do I love this spear that I think I got in those burial caverns. Don't part with it if you got it, it is enchanted with some good stuff. I think it was one I had to climb up one of those statue things to get. It is called an Illkurok, has night vision and fortify spear.
So I get back from Vas, though I was totally lost up there since I swam there and then didn't know how to get back. ANyway now Percius tells me my next quest is way back up there again, but SW of Vas, a long walk and swim. So I loaded up on swift swim and will return after I go back to Nchurdamz to off yet another Necromancer.
Did anyone else talk to the guy in Vivec about the under the table quest about the 7 victims being killed by a female with a knife. I have been back and forth to Vivec many times and haven't seen anyone fitting the description.
Draclvr, what other factions have you joined?

Thanks for your good wishes, guys. hawkavonpuka, I remember not being able to do the Vas quest for a long time, and having to go back for it when I was stronger, because the lady I was with got killed the first time, and I was blamed for it. I still shudder at the mention of Vas. Regarding the female killer in Vivec, hint: are you sure you looked everywhere, especially in the Foreign Quarter, erm.. -even under the Foreign Quarter? Dravclvr, you sound quite far along - never will I catch up, but I'll probably be doing different stuff, anyway!

You mean I have to go there, I don't like it underneath, it is creepy and somewhere, not even way down there I opened a door and let loose a bunch of scarey things. I almost whacked that non-helping lady too, as I thought the ghost she summoned was a baddie. She told me to be careful. I sure am not quite ready for that area again, especially as it isn't even marked on the map and I will probably get totally lost.

Ok, hawkavonpuka, I don't know how badly you want to do this quest, but you sound a bit spooked, so I'm going to do a spoilered detailed hint: The woman is a Dunmer, in a brownish dress. When she sees you, she will scream and run at you to attack you with her knife. So you will definitely know that it is her. To get to her, you must go right down into the waterworks, and from there, you must go through one of those trapdoors in the floor to gain entry to the sewers. She is lurking about there in the sewers. To exit the sewers again, you must click on one of the ladders beneath a trapdoor. If you could handle Vas and Nchurdamz, this quest shouldn't be too hard in comparison, just don't feel intimidated. Your'e going to save before you go, aren't you? Good luck, and watch out for rats!

As long as she is obvious about it then I most likely won't get spooked. I just thought she might be lurking and hiding. I haven't done Nchurdamz yet, well partially, then I bailed out to go level up somemore. I am only a level 8 so I don't know how I am managing this anyway. I am a save freak, like after every baddie so I don't have to redo it. I am at Molag Mar now, then the trek to Nchurdamz, I will look for her on my way back. Anyway, what can she do to me with a dagger that I can't do to her with my array of weapons?
Thanks for the spoiler!!

.... Anyway, what can she do to me with a dagger that I can't do to her with my array of weapons? Famous last words... Just remember that even a little dagger can carry an enchantment...

Well, I backed out of the Ilinubi Cave quest just before the end because I was afraid getting the Corpus disease would cause other people to not deal with me. I pretty much cleaned the cave out though.
Right now I'm escorting some really rude woman to the Ghostgate Shrine. Killed my first Daedroths! And a couple of really big fat dudes. This better be worth it!
And I scored a weapon that is worth $24,000, but poor Creeper can't afford to buy it. I have some other weapon that is worth $14,000, so I could actually be "rich beyond measure" someday!
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Hi Draclvr I too agreed to escort that woman to the Ghostgate Shrine but I was finding it really difficult to locate the shrine and getting fed up of listening to her - and THEN I went and lost her !! [Not on purpose, I hasten to add .... although I was sorely tempted ] After that I temporarily gave up on the quest But I might just come across her again one day ?? Who knows Cheers. Mad

Maggie57, definitely not a point and click, left mouse is for fighting and right mouse to bring up the character/inventory/map/magic screens. You do guide your character with the mouse though, use WASD for walk, etc.
Draclvr, you can have Creeper buy expensive stuff, however you have to be dealing with him for awhile. I could refer you to somewhere where it is explained. You have to buy enough of his stuff (that you already sold to him) until he ammasses enough gold to pay for what you have to sell. Creeper starts off with 5000, Mudcrab Merchant (I haven't found him yet) starts with 10,000. Did you finish the 6th house quest, if so, I give you credit.
I ending up killing the escorted lady, she was soooo irritating, always rushing me. I was trying to finish off the Cliffracers that were attacking and stupidly she got in the way. Oops!! Got all her money and stuff anyway so I guess it doesn't matter, I doubt she will be missed, hehehe!
