Hi all, Sounds like you are doing great. When you have to choose sides is where I usually split the game into 2 saves. The Dark Side save and the Light side save so I can play 2 games. They each will start to pick up different quests. So when you have picked up each guy and your screen has changed to either white screen or black screen that is were I saved so I could tell which game I was playing. The only thing you have to watch out for is not to save in the wrong place if you overwrite a game.

You can find quest items before getting the quest. You should be able to talk to the quest giver, get the quest, then talk to him again, & get credit for the quest. If you got credit for the wine cellar quest, you must have killed the head vampire. Town Portal does make a difference, doesn't it? When you get GM in water, it's even better. You can TP out in the middle of a battle & also use Lloyd's Beacon at any time. Have you been to the Breeding Zone in the Pit? That's where you find the book of Divine Intervention for the archmage promotion.

Pokey you're doing terrific - I just chose the new arbiter and am now looking for the house to park him in. It's kind of nice being back in Harmondale after the goblins that used to kick our collective keisters respawned and now we're kicking them - soothes the ego after getting knocked around by all the other baddies I can't seem to beat.
I have all the quests finished except for the golem, finding the meditation spot inside Barrow downs (since I don't have a paladin in my group not sure I'll worry about this), finding the statues, finishing my acromage victories, finding all the obelisks and getting two more pictures which I don't have a clue how I'm going to get since the guards won't let me into the corridors and visit the three Stonehenge monoliths, oh and kill a dragon. I've had this hanger on for half the game now. That's just the quests I know about. I also haven't been to all the areas.
Smiley how are you doing? Still with us?

Pokey I found the arbiter's house and now am trying to get some promotion quests completed. My group is still only at the expert level and they need to master because they are getting wiped out. I'm in Deja after the two more golem parts then I can get my sorcerer up to wizard. I'm not even going to try to get into the Titans stronghold right now. I don't think I'd last 30 seconds.

Hi all,
Pokey...the fountains are usually in the center of the towns.
In the Pit I beleive it is right in front of the Tavern.
You should click on the fountains as soon as you reach any town even if you don't have Town Portal yet because once you learn TP you will be able to teleport to the town.
This works the same in all of the Might and Magic games for TP except in MM 8 where you have an Altar to click on.

Well I've struggled through the Nighon Tunnels and what do I find? Minatours I can't even run past them - looks like I'll have to leave until I get something that will help with these critters. Any ideas on what spells will work? Any ideas on how to get by them?

Oops sorry about not clarifying where I was at. You're right Pokey - I'm trying to get into Mount Nighon so I can get two members of my party to master.
Northwest you say? Naturally I'm trying to go NE -go figure.
Hi Smilley - I somehow wound up with right around 120,000 gold. Not sure how that happened. I'm sure a lot of it will be used up when I get my group up to master level. I did buy the Town Portal spell - 8000 gold thank you very much. Now I need to get past these dratted Minatours so I can level up and use it.

Hi all,
Syd....RUN!!!! That is the only way I got past them and don't stop until you get to the exit.
Pokey...The towns that don't have fountains is where Lloyd's Beacon comes in handy. This is a bookmark which has to be updated now and then so you don't loose it.

I went straight at them, and then jumped over them, and kept doing it until I could get to somewhere I could go in, then repeat the process to the next place, and make my way through. When I first tried it, I never thought it would work, but I was scratching my head.

Getting out of the Pit with a light party is very difficult. I usually put some money in the bank before I go in, just in case. The only thing you can do is RUN! Or accept the death & go bankrupt.

I wish I had thought to put my money in the bank. I had no idea that they could make the game this unfair. I don't think I have the energy to do it all over again. It is so hard getting into the Breeding Zone with so many enemies in the way. I did whittle down the number of ghosts, spectors and shades but the necromancers are so powerful I have little chance. Nickie, I've been trying different jumping maneuvers with little success. I run and have my Sorceress cast jump, but three other characters have to have their turn before we can jump again. I'm not very good at making this work and it is sure hard to cast jump when you are running with all your fingers occupied by the navigation keys. Where is a place I can go inside?

Glad you made it through Pokey! I play with at least two sorcerers in the party, so I think that makes it easier. Much harder in the beginning of the game, but much easier towards the end.

That's impressive, Pokey. I rarely make it out of there alive! Town Portal doesn't work there because you can't use it when there are monsters nearby until you make grandmaster. Now that you have the book, you can get promoted to archmage and learn GM in water. Narb
