Hi I've got a weird problem .... I've been trying to enter a room for a long time on and off now as I have to talk to a person inside the room and hand over a "quest item" but there is a character "standing in the doorway" and I can't get past him or get him to move away. [He's not a baddie or doing it on purpose - he just happens to be standing in an awkward place.] I've tried talking to him then going away and coming back .... I've tried removing my glass armour to squeeze past him .... and I've been outside of the whole area and completed other quests and then come back .... BUT he is still there blocking the doorway Does anyone know if perhaps there is some kind of cheat I might use to move him ?? Help always appreciated Cheers. Mad

I've had a few of those annoying characters who won't move either, but have always managed to get by them. Have you tried quitting and reloading the game?? Of course, you could always kill him!

I'm not completely sure if this will work or if you won't get hit with a fine, but you can try "The Touch of Death". Stand near the NPC in question and then open your console screen by hitting the "~" key. Left-click on the NPC who is in the way. Somewhere, I can't recall if it is the top or bottom of the screen that NPC's code will appear. It will be something like NPC0006. Then type NPC0006 -> sethealth 0 Then hit Enter and exit the console by hitting "~" again and they should drop like a door nail so you can hop over them.

I have had some stubborn ones also, one is the traveler in Balmora Mages, then the guy in the doorway in Vivec. He may be the one Mad is having a problem with, I couldn't get in that room for the longest time. I usually try a jump/walk or run routine, although I would just love to shove them. In Ald'ruhn Manor District the ordinators tend to group of in threes and block the path, they usually move though. Trail's way seems more fun though, everyone in the house here thinks I am talking to them when I say move, $#@%$ idiot.

Hi Draclvr .... Yes, I exited the game and came back - more than once - but no joy So, in desperation, I took a look at what spells I had and found a "Command" type one so I tried that on him .... and it worked TM .... I did consider just killing him off myself, he was getting so annoying, but thought I'd better not Anyway, using the spell, I was able to coax him into the room. And he has stayed there in the very same spot ever since. [I think he must have glue on his boots - but at least he is no longer in the way !! ] Now I just need to find someone who will sell me a replacement spell seein' as how I had to waste it Thanks. And I finally found the Urshiluku Tomb! I think it was just impossible to see because I was constantly in a sand storm and it was night. When I tried again, it was day and the weather was nice. Killed the first skeleton, but had to leave because I didn't have enough Health Potions.

Drac you should be able to rest and heal in each of the areas once you get rid of the enemies in the area. I don't recall there being that many of them, but then I didn't go in all of the tombs. You will need health potions for the diseased critters that abound, not sure if anyone in the village is selling them either.

But it takes about a half hour to rest and heal up. Or again, am I missing something? I left the game running this afternoon while I get ready for the 11th Annual Salsa Party tomorrow and kept going in and using the engraved ring of healing to replace my health. I'm at level 12, but still have trouble with the Champion Skeletons.

Are you pressing "T" to bring up the rest thingy? As long as there are no enemies in the area you can use it, just click until healed. It will fill up your stats, I use it all the time, I call it whack and run like heck. What are your stats on long blade, short blade and spear. I put the majority of my leveling up points in strength, endurance and such. I have a magic talent of Voice of the Emperor, when I use it they love me and give me whatever I want, so I no longer bother upping my personality. I have over 50,000 in gold and stuff worth mega tokens all over the Mages Guild bedroom and more at Creepers. But I just got to level 8, so I don't understand why they are giving you trouble, although Syd said she was having problems with them also. I had a hard time in that tomb figuring out what direction to go, but you are heading the right way when you see the rat, it will be in that direction.
I forgot, don't forget to save after each fight so you don't have to do it again. I save constantly, so I am always fresh and healed. Sometimes I go somewhere else and when I feel stronger then I try again. I have many partly finished quests, most of them involving Necromancers. I am headed back to Vas to see if I can handle that one now.

That would be me - Ms. Save-A-Lot!
I'll try the T thingy. I have a hard time keeping much more than 2,000 or 3,000 in money. Maybe I'm not stealing enough.

I am not stealing Draclvr, I suck at that(I did steal a filled grand gem thing though) but I am killing and looting, bandits caves have lot's of stuff. Once you go in there for a quest or just for the heck of it, help yourself, crates, barrels sometimes lots of moonsugar, brandy (I save that) I don't bother with the common clothes anymore, since I have "wealth beyond means". Some caves have scrolls galore, potions. I killed some Orcs down under when looking for a quest place, grabbed the armor and sold it, kept one set for myself of course. Then the assassins, after I loaded Tribunal and Bloodmoon, I was attacked by first one, then two more, wore one set of armor and sold the other two. I should take a screenie of all the stuff I offed to the Creeper. Speaking of getting stuff, there is lots of stuff in that Tomb you are in, but you have to climb up on the statue looking things to get it. Wait til you get nearer your destination for the Bow (you get to keep it too) you really need to be able to climb, but it is fun. Maybe this is the difference between races and what you are stuck with, I am an Imperial Witchunter, whatever that means. The glass armor I did sort of help myself to and I did steal some long blade when an ordinator was turned the other way. You have to use ctrl for duck/sneak, you will get a brown box next to your stats. Next time I load the game, I will take a look at the rest of my stats, I know I am doing much better this game play than I did my first time when I had to quit.
I forgot to mention, I don't know what you have joined, but don't just hang out waiting for quests from the same old, same old, go to Aldruhn and Vivec and somewhere else near Khuul and ask for work, that way you will get extra quests. Actually I go to UHS hints for Morrowind, The Elder Scrolls just to see what I might have missed, there is lot's and lot's to do.

Hail fellow Morrowinders and happy weekend. Madge and I are engrossed in the Main Quest - yes, I remembered there really is a main quest We are currently following the clues to the third something or other in the lost prophecies of which there appear to be seven. We are not doing so well I'm ashamed to admit. Never was very good at figuring out riddles. Have gotten a bit of help from some of the Urshilaku about where I should be heading but so far not so much luck. I've been told to head for the Valley of the Wind (it's supposed to be in the Red Mountains somewhere) and look for a tall rock. Right - do they know how many tall rocks there are around??? And the wind always blows up here - how do I know which valley is the one and ony Valley of the Wind I ask you? (sorry, I think I've gotten cranky from inhaling too much red dust) Any way - if any of you are planning a trip to the scenic Red Mountains would you bring me something from the tavern? My throat is awfully dry. Edit Found the rock I needed to find and also the cavern and have met Lord Vivec. For some reason the temple let me in before I was officially declared The Nerevarine by the four camps and three houses. I'm wondering if it's because I made second in command at the Temple that it was allowed. Anyway, I now have the information on how to take care of the big baddie. Guess I'll now go see if I can still finish the rest of the Seven Visions of the Lost Prophecies. Then start collecting what I need to take over the world

Back from a vacation. Glad everyone is doing well.
Just a suggestion to anyone who enters a tomb or dungeon that they think is too difficult: if you use an item with a chameleon spell and attack a baddie they are taken by surprise and will often run from you. Killing them is easy if they don't fight back. I have found the Amulet of Shadows (obtained from some nasty people on the road north of Gnisis) to be of particular value. The chameleon spell also helpd me pickpocket Sothilde for that code book which is so difficult to get.

Hi I, too, kill and loot with gusto !! In fact I have probably netted most of my wealth that way I am very easily distracted though .... I will set off on a particular quest but then meet someone who needs help or come across a tomb or something that is just begging to be explored - and so lose track of what I originally set out to do I have, on some occasions, needed to go visit a site which lists quests etc, just to try and get myself back on track Having such FUN though Cheers. This saving the world is not all it's cracked up to be. I have to track down all the horators from all the houses plus visit all the ashlander camps and convince everyone that I am the one and only. The convincing is not so hard - it's the finding everyone that's tough. I still have three Telvanni house horators to find and convince and then I can start on Redoran and Hlaalu. After that it's off to the Ashlander camps - sheesh - my feet are sore from traipsing around so much.

Pretty much feeling the same way, syd! I'm at level 12, but it's mostly because I finally figured out I could rest and heal myself without renting a bed! Thank you, Hawka! Every time I ran out of health potions I would traipse back somewhere and of course kill tons of creatures along the way.
The Champion Skeletons in the cursed Urshiluku tomb are just the toughest danged things. Found plenty of good stuff, but even with strength at 77 I can't carry everything.
Keep coming back to the darned game though!

Drac you poor thing - I had no idea you weren't aware that as long as there were no enemies around you could rest anywhere (unless you're told it's illegal that is - but I still do and never got arrested for it). How was your festival by the way??? I just hit level 40 and my axe skill is now 100 - (I swing a mean axe let me tell you) Still tracking down horators - I honestly think they hear that I'm coming and hide just to spite me

No wonder your level is soooo high, all that traipsing about killing. I usually use the Mages travel people or the boats or siltstriders. It all depends on where I am going, now that gold is not an object. I should send you a save with a whole bunch of stuff that you can go and sell, hehehe. I no longer carry anything but good stuff, I sure don't bother with the skeletons junk, too heavy and not valuable. I just strip the bodies and leave piles all over the place. I found if you leave the body with it's stuff intact, it will all disappear unless you get back to it quickly.
I use "t" just to change the time if I am not in the mood to walk in the dark or the rain or winds. Very convenient little tool. Another weapon that I love is my Dwemer Jinksword (I think I bought this one) cause it paralyzes your victim until the charge runs out. Draclvr are you getting your weapons repaired at the armorers? The don't work as well when they get dull, especially against the skeletons iron shields. I don't have any repair skill myself so I just spend the money.
What kind of magic spell to use?

I'm leaving pile of stuff everywhere too just in case I want to come back. And yes, I'm definitely getting my weapons repaired. My nice little Fire Sword that is so effective on the Champion Skeletons is needing repair, but if I go back in to do that, I'll just have to traipse all the way back to the tomb again. Aaargh!
Salsa Party was great, syd! Last year it was 104 in the garage where we work - this year it was 85! Sweet. Have a lot more to do in a couple of weeks, but we got about 36 gallons of salsa put up, so that a good start!
Cleaning up this morning and hope to get back to Morrowind this evening!

Hi I have been wondering .... Early in the game I spent days, no, weeks trekking across the land, exploring, fighting and looting as I went in an effort to try and raise my stats - and often ventured into a tomb or cave etc where I occasionally managed to overcome some foes and nab some stuff. And I sold the stuff when I came to towns where I could, in order to boost my funds. It never entered my head that any of this stuff might be quest items So, could I get drastically stuck later in the game if I am sent on a quest for something I've already unwittingly sold Does anybody know ?? Cheers. Mad
