I know, Bets! I have wanted to get back into the game and play to find out, but just haven't had time yet. Maybe tonight. I forget... do you have the Grit lift key? And did you ride the Grit lift across and jump off to do battle at a place on the left after you jump across?
EDIT: Ow! Ow! Ow! I decided to take a break and play this part for a few minutes. I am trying to give our 11-year old grandson a little "lesson" in work and its rewards. He wants to sell my Chipotle Salsa at the local Farmer's Market, but doesn't want to do any of the work. NOT gonna happen on THIS grandma's watch! So, I made him a proposal to grow the peppers and teach him how to do this stuff, but he has to do all the work. So this morning he came out and picked a 5-gallon bucket of jalapenos and I helped him work them up before I put them on the smoker. Of course, I gave him my plastic gloves and now my fingers are on fire, fire, fire! Using the keys on the gamepad was torture! What we don't do for our grandkids!
Anyway. Like I said, you have to get the Grit lift running. Ride across and go to the right if you want that big white XP crystal. Go back to where you got off and go up the ladder. Defeat the goblin and get the key. Back down to the platforms and continue to the right on the platforms, picking up crystals along the way. On the right of the tracks is one of those places where there are a bunch of enemies. Defeat them and go back to the tracks and go right again. Down another ladder to the Dim lift.
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Okay. I have done a bunch of that. I gotta get back there and find that ladder. If not today, then tomorrow.. Ouch, ouch, your poor fingers. I got a photo assignment I need to get done also. Edit: I made it.

So where are you now Bets, I finally finished Flies and Spiders, so far this level is somewhat easier but I am sure that won't last. Barrels Out of Bond, sneaking and spiders again, but I keep trying to perfect myself and end up with more life, then I fall and semi kill myself. Sigh!!

Hawka, I just got off the dim lift. May have time to play tomorrow.
Got the Wart Stone and am having trouble killing what's his name after he opens the gate. Any suggestions?
Edit again: Got it and released Bofur (?) or whatever his name is.

Yay! That can be a tough fight. I have also spent a LOT of time riding the cart on the tracks. Nothing but fun ahead!

Sort of reminds me of when you were running around in the crystal skull in one of the Beyond Atlantis games!
Isn't Balin upstairs back in the main part of the jail? Can't remember for sure.

I think so, but I always end up going the wrong way, then becoming visible again. Off again for the day, will try again when we get home, no school today.

Have you knocked the dead tree into the water by throwing a rock at it? Then you use the dead tree to get to the other side. Make sure you stock up on lots of rocks, waiting for them to respawn if necessary. You will need them when you get past this place. I learned to buy the rock bag upgrade before I got to this area. Good luck!
I'll be around to check in now and then this afternoon. It's raining just enough that I can't work outside, so I'm catching up on some much-needed housework...

Thanks Drac, I didn't think about doing that. Will try it. I figured it had to do with that tree.
We got 2.5 inches of rain so far. It can stop now.

Okay, when I fill the pool and jump off the log, what is the best to use on those spiders, sword or stick? Don't have time to throw rocks.

I like the sword, but if you have the Master Stick Tactics, the spinning attack can do a lot of damage too.
Dang, you already got out of the pool. I think it took me 2 days to get out of there the first time I played!

Finally got to the part where I pick up the bomb rocks but the fight after that is a slaughter, on poor Bilbo, that is.

Is that where the minions keep coming out of the ground? Don't try to kill them all as the armored ones respawn. Kill the ones that are killing you with the explosive arrows, then jump to the next area, more of the same. I spent a long time in that area.

I killed them all! It was tough, but made Bilbo's life so much easier after he jumped over the big log and had to go up to the tree-tops.

They didn't bother me when I was up there, I did fall down once but managed to kill another one. They just seemed to be sorta stuck on the thing you jump over.
