Hello,
How can I add info to a file name without making it impossible to play?
For example if I have a file name like-"ARCD(2010)brrip720px264-Parrot", I may know at the time what it is but if I store it for a while when I go back to it I may not.
Can I add something in parenthesis at the end to identfy it without ruining the ability to play the file.Ex-"ARCD(2010)brrip720px264-Parrot(The Punisher)"?
If not how can I do it?

What about putting it in its own folder, Geo? You can name the folder anything you like and store it in My Documents for future reference.

Thats an idea traveler, but I would really rather have a folder called "Movies" with many different files in it.I want to know if I can alter a file name in such a way as not to hinder it.

So long as it's not in a set of files (like those in a VIDEO_TS folder) you should be able to safely rename the file.

If it's smallish, right click the file and then paste it into the same folder. The copy will be renamed automatically. Click the renamed file and see if it plays.

Edit -

But there's no reason you can't have a folder named Movies, and then sub-folders (for the actual content) that describe them.

Also - When renaming files , be careful not to modify the file extension, the 3 characters after the dot "."
