I'll try to answer some questions.
Who are all the people we meet in the game?
All are friends and family of mine, and their friends.
Where did you find all the beautiful locations?
I spend a lot of time and energy looking for locations. We often have to go long distances to get to these places (I don't have a driver's license, so Eleen has to drive me everywhere). I also read forums about
urban exploration on the internet regularly.
Were are they on a map (I really wish to visit Norrköping someday - it's not that far from Germany?)
Not all them are here in Norrköping. Some of the more illustrious places are located quite far from here. I sometimes mention this in the closing credits (like the rauk scenes in Blue Madonna, and the Asylum in Amber's Blood).
Was it difficult to get the permission for taking photos?
I haven't needed any permission for most of the exterior scenes. The tricky thing is to get people out of the way. That's why I prefer to shoot in the middle of the night. The lighting is perfect around 3-4 a.m. in Sweden in the summer, and you rarely get disturbed by anyone. I did stumble into some hippies camping in the middle of the Loredum Stones area while shooting for Amber's Blood however. But they had just been woken up by cows, and were getting ready to move to another area to meditate. Cows were all over the place that morning, and I spent plenty of hours retouching the images in Photoshop to remove them all.
This is what some of the original images looked like.
The stones are called
Ale's Stones in real life, BTW.
Getting permission to shoot most of the derelict places is obviously impossible.
Do we see the real interior of the houses or was it just arranged for the pictures?
It varies. Sometimes I just shoot it as it is (with minor changes), and sometimes I spend half a day rearranging stuff.
