I am in the piano room...I gathered all the evidence..I still can't leave the building...Nicole keeps saying I have to check things..I have the puppet,tape,4 pics,crushed lead in a piece of paper,a swab of substance from the dancer,also a floor board..

Looks like you need to get the fingerprint on the window.
Also if you have done the swinging window - check where the shadow of that symbol is on the floor.
You need 6 pictures total.

When I talk to the guard I get end dialogue and when I try to exit I get the message that there is something I still need to do.

Finally made my way back to Jack's room. Fairly tricky getting into his room. But now I'm stuck there. Need more light to see in the drawer in his desk. And don't know what to do with those hooks on the wall. Anybody there yet?

I am stuck in the hotel. Can't take cork, can't take hanky, need adapter for plug. I talked to the receptionist at the restaurant but that didn't help. What am I missing?

You need to know the output of the adapter.
Then the output of the lamp via the halogen bulb. So take that bulb out.
Remove the cord that goes to the antenna.
Then talk to Pierre twice.

Stuck again. I got the plug fixed for the antenna, sent photos and talked to the woman on my phone. The french inspector called me and told me about the other murder and I think I need to go there. I have a brochure for a car rental but have no idea how to rent a car.
When I go outside I can only go to the cafe and I don't "have time" for coffee.
The receptionist at the hotel desk has nothing more to say to me and I am at a total loss.
In my inventory is the tape, lightbulb, camera with pictures and the car brochure. I would really appreciate a big shove.

I haven't received my copy yet, but have you "read" the brochure or showed it to the receptionist?

I have clicked on it for a closeup and it tells me basically to rent a car. When I click the brochure on the receptionist the lower screen just shows and end conversation so he won't acknowledge it. I have no clue what to do.

I think my brain cells are on their last leg. I just can't seem to progress very far without asking for help.
So here is where I am stuck now.
I am at Jack's. I have talked to the inspector, the policeman and the witness. I found the sewer and need tools to get the thing out of it. Can't get anyone to let me use the tools. I keep going up and down the stairs to see if anything has changed, but as usual nothing is triggering.
I called my boss and the woman. Verified it is the same killer.
Now what. I need a huge push.

This is getting ridiculous. I am so frustrated. It seems I take 1 step forward and 3 back.

I am in the hotel. I need the key to the back door. I have the hanky and cork and a bamboo pole. It seemed pretty obvious to me that the bamboo pole would help me get the key, but it doesn't work.
If I hear Nicole say "Nicole think" again I will scream....

I got the coffee and croissant and gave it to the policeman, the receptionist left to take a phone call and I am wandering back and forth. How do I get the key or what do I do next.

This game is very frustrating at times. Open the cabinet door in the hotel. On the upper part of the door is a hook you can take. Take the bambboo stick from the plant and combine the two. Good luck!!

hey, I can't get the newspaper or anything out of the mailbox much less getting into the toolbox. I have talked to everyone and I have taken 2 photos I am at a loss for what to do next. Specific help would be appreciated.

The time to get the newspaper is after you talked to the policeman about the toolbox by him the second time and after knowing you need to get the bracelet in the sewer.

then I am confussed because I can't talk to the policeman any more and I can't look in the sewer because Nicole says I can't look in there. Did I miss something in the apartment? I took a pic of the blood and ropes I took a pic of the desk, I took a tried to get the poster but she said I couldn't do that either, and I went downstairs and talked to the women untill she told me to go away. How do I get out the window or what am I not doing?

If you can't look in the sewer, that means that you did not interview and hear the woman's story.
You have to convince her to talk to you by using the In spector's card on her bell.

Go through the balcony-window left of the witness' door. Walk the ledge. Don't forget to pick up things on the way. You'll need all what you can pick up.

Don't forget to take fingerprint of the coffee mug on the table first.

Then open that locker-drawer and get Mark's driver's license.
Use that to open the door.

I noticed the numbers and the colors and i saw the directions but i cant figure out the order of the hooks to turn what first what next what last and what directions excatly ?

What i remember from the hooks is:

Odrito gave you thecorrect solution. You have to have seen close the map with the cardinal points and get the paper with number.
Then use the order in the paper with numbers (not 1-5). Turn it based on the color in the map.

I am stuck trying to get into the Moulin Rouge I have the bucket full of water the wheel on the hook and I have the some type of tape. I have broken the lock and now am trying to open the hatch but with no success. Help please.

Kitty from the front entrance of Moulen did you take the rope thingy from the left? You must use it with the hatch HANDLE.

I solved that and didn't write the step by step yet. I was going to do that last.

I am stuck in Mark's apartment . I have looked in the locker and I have moved it away from the plaster wall. However, I am not sure how to get into the wall. I have taken pics of everything and I have the wrench but I am not sure what to do now.

Odrito, use the map (two pieces put together) with the statuette and then with the adhesive tape. Then throw the wrapped statuette from the window.

o.k. now I feel stupid because I tried to use the wrench on the door and it wouldn't work before but now it did. However, now I'm stuck not knowning how to move the stuff from the door so that I can open it. Also what am I suppose to do with the mug on the table because I can't seem to do anything with it yet.

aussie30 The slot machine... try hitting a funny face on the left one, sometimes the middle one get stuck and then it is easier. It may take a lot of Load games

I feel dumb I can't get the safe open at the antique dealer's place. I turned the bull over and got the numbers and i'm hearing it number click but when I get to the 07 it won't click. Help!

okay WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!!!!! I can't get the safe to open. I went left to right and clicked the numbers EXACTLY (even though the last one won't click) and clicked the handle and it still won't open!!!!!!! If I hear "the door is blocked" one more time i'm gonna EXPLODE!!! Please help!!

with me i think i went right (or left) 1 click ...heard nothing. And the rest of the clicks when i released them made no sound either. Maybe we need to NOT hear the clicks? it worked for me.

Do not edit your previous post when someone has posted after you. Make a new post in that instance.

Move the safe: place wheel. Lever the safe so you can remove the wooden block under uit. To do this get the sword from the other room and use it on the top of the safe. Raise the safe and then the wood block turns over. Move the safe then.

Motorbike - use the stool that is in front of the desk in that office. Remove the seat of that stool.

I am still stuck on the safe. First of all do you hold the mouse down and litually turn the dial? Do you start clockwise or counterclockwise? There are a series of 5 numbers from the bull. Can you tell me exactly what to do. Thank you.

This is what I did several times and it worsk:

Reset the dial.
Click-hold-turn left-release only when the first number is under the red dot.
Click-hold-turn right-release only when the second number is under the red dot.
And so on. When the last number is done - click the handle.

Well, silly me. When I looked at the numbers again for the safe, I decided to put my reading glasses on, and lo and behold, what I thought was a 5 was indeed a 9. So that did the trick Lesson learned!! Sorry for all the unnecessary work and posting on this MaG.

No problem. That is why I have my glasses on all the time when on the computer.

I read the part about how to get out of the Moulin Rouge and tried doing what the walkthrough said to do with the fire extinguisher, but nothing is happening. I've done everything I'm supposed to I think, collected all my inventory, but there are no baddies coming. Is there supposed to be a patch here? The game's not doing what it's supposed to do at this point.

Hi Melia, are you able to place the extinguisher on the ground? The hotspot is near the left corner of those double doors, if I recall correctly.

Melia, I wondered what to do as well. Make sure you've picked up the mannequin arm from the dressing room floor.

I've been clicking that darn extinguisher all over the door. Have I got the right door? It's the one marked "exit" and it's at the end of the hallway. The coatrack is to the left. There still aren't bad guys coming.

Yes, I used the mannequin arm on the glass and have the axe.

Have you tried to exit back the way you came in, so that Nicole realises she needs to find another way out?

Did you listen to the message on the answerphone?

Check that you have the aspirin, crucifix and envelopes in inventory, and that you have examined them in close-up.

i am in the puppeteer hideout. i got the drivers license from the drawer but cant move the locker. i have the monkey wrench the ? shows where to hit the wall but i cant move the locker some help please.

Just click on locker and it will move away from the wall.
Be sure that you also finished that room because you won't be able to go back out later in the game.

I am in Cuba at the estate. I'm trying to fix the fan. Can't seem to trigger the conversation about fruit so that I can get the belt from Manuel. I Know that is what I am supposed to do..and I keep going back and forth but all I get for dialog are "endings" Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

P.S. I have given up trying to install Ceville for the time being, I just can't figure why my computer won't read the DVD??

Have you examined the grinder and clicked on the left side of it where the belt should be, so that Nicole knows it needs a replacement?

Also, have you already tried to fit the new (but too wide) brushes into the fan?

Hi Rushes, Yes, Nicole has commented that the grinder needs a belt and that the brushes are too wide for the fan. That is how I know that Manuel has what I need. I have a pillow to catch the fruit and I need the stick to knock the fruit down.

go figure....I just kept repeatedly visiting the spots and finally I got the cue for the belt. Thanks for helping, Rushes.

Did you click on the stick to try to take it? Manuel will stop you, and that might trigger a conversation.

i am playing this game and i am enjoying it but im stuck. i am mat the garage trying to find the hole in the tube. I dont know what i am doing wrong. i fill the tube with air and i get it to the fountain. she talks about finding the hole but i cant click the marker.

You have to talk to the garage owner...Then you have to fill it with air...Then Double click to get to the fountain fast...Put it in the fountain, then mark it..

If you take to long to get to the fountain...It deflates

Winfrey - practice on a 4x4, then you can move to a 5x5. I tend to do move the tiles as close to where they should go first. Then arrange them. You can do it.

Gaily, I am having the exact same problem with the stick that you had. I did everything that you did and I keep going over and over visiting all the spots, to try to get the cue to get the stick from Manuel. The word ending keeps coming up. What did you finallly do? Thanks, Mel22odie

Please do not jump from one thread to another.

As for stick, be sure that you checked the tree, the ground under the tree and left side (not the center) of the grinder. Then ralk to Manuel about the belt. He will ask for a drink and then you can ask for the stick.

That did it...hitting the grove where the belt was to go. I thought I had clicked all over the left side, but not on the groves. Thanks very much. Sorry that I placed my question in wrong place. Thought I had to place next to the letter that I had read that had the same problem. Thanks again MaG, Mel22odie

Great, glad you're moving forward now.

I finished the game and really enjoyed it. Only problem, there was no sound for the voices in the last scene. It cut out before the murderer's last statement. However, didn't need the voices to figure out what happened. The captions also stopped at the end. Thanks for all your help, Mel22odie
