Help with bridges - Obduction,

So I guessed on the bridges and crossed them on Maray (The plant world), but I want to know if there is a more logical solution to the bridges than just inputting random lines into the panel thingy.

I have not played the game.
But this walkthrough looks like the screen of the Mayor has a clue.
