Ah ha ! **** 'The Scroll' ! ****
At last somebody else who thinks this is a fabulous game ! It has to be one of the finest games ever produced for the dedicated adventure gamer.
What with its clean and supremely refined graphics and its oh so simple, user-friendly game design - the action icons are a pure dream to behold. Never before have I ever come across such a straightforward, easy-to-use interface.
The choice of contemporary music is breathtaking and the animation of the characters during speech sets standards never before achieved in any labour of love that is an adventure game.
What's more, this favourite of all 'true' gamers runs in DOS - Yes . . DOS ! What inspired genius I hear you squeal ! This means that the player need not bother with that excruciatingly irritating procedure of 'slip it in and watch it load'. How very tedious that can be !
No, with this game you can just pop it in your drive and sit back, relax for an hour or two, hang out your annual washing, or even knock together a four-course supper for five and still have time to write that novella you thought you'd never get around to, all confident in the knowledge that when you return to your keyboard you will not have missed a single moment of the rapturous plot contained within 'THE SCROLL'.
