Any new Carol Reed / MDNA games coming up?

I tend to keep an eye on the forums here for any news of new Carol Reed games, the MDNA-games site is still showing Ambers Blood from last year as the latest.

I'm a big fan of this series and I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms as it's usually around this time of year that a new one arrives.

Does anyone have any news of any new Carol Reed games or anything else from Mikael at MDNA coming out soon?

I haven't heard anything official yet, but I am sure that Mikael is continuing the loved series. I'll see if I can get him to answer....

Early this spring, Carol came over to me and told me a story I almost didn't believe. After checking some key factors in her story I came to the conclusion that she was 100 percent reliable, as always.

Since then, I've spent most of the time trying to make a decent game out of her adventure, and I hope to have it released sometime early next year. I haven't decided on a title yet though.

After playing so many games with deeply scary sound effects and visuals, I've decided I prefer the eerie spookiness that my own imagination conjures up when I'm skulking around alone in unpopulated environments as Carol Reed. Neither the music nor any special effects need to be 'spook-i-fied' to give me the chills there. Thank you Mikael & team!!!

I wasn't joking about withdrawal symptoms, I really start getting edgy if I haven't had my annual (virtual) visit to Sweden for a bit of mystery and adventure. Mikael, it's great news to hear you are planning something for us soon!

Love my virtual visits, too Krispi. In the months between new Carol Reed releases, I've gotten my game-withdrawal 'fixes' from watching international mystery shows on MHzTV from Scandanavia, as well as France & Italy. Lots of gorgeous scenery... (geographic as well as a few male characters! ).

...and on MHzTV, characters Gunvald Larsson and Varg Veum.

Bigge has much more character than any handsome brunette. What's more important -- traditional good looks, or a willingness to to keep the place looking clean?

I agree. Bigge, a man who cleans... & possibly cooks: In real life-- characteristics which make a man very attractive.

I do like the way Gunvald & Varg look, but it's the way their characters are written that I find to be most attractive (the good looks are merely 'icing on the cake'). Were they written as despicable bad guys, they'd be not at all attractive.

Pretty things (men and women) are nice to look at, but are also distracting. As for Carol Reed, I'm glad that I get to 'be' her in the game (1st-person), and don't have to see her.

I'm quite enamoured to Stina, actually. She always helps me out when I'm stuck on a difficult problem, and that's the most important part of a woman. It's almost bizarre how she always knows what to do!

This remains my personal favourite!
