Alice VR, as described in GOG - has anyone in the forum tried it ? - 03/15/17 05:04 PM

I would like to know more about this game. And if you want to invest in VR glasses and controller, what should you look for ? Maybe it is better to wait a while, since this tech is quite new. I do believe my new PC and screen is powerful enough to use it. But there are various systems like Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and others as well and I´ll admit I have no idea of what to look for, prices vary from pretty cheap to quite expensive. Is VR for adventure gamers worth the money, I wonder.

It's half the price on Steam, but the reviews all over aren't the best. Never tried VR, but unless the price goes way down, I won't either. lol

I haven't played the game but do have a passing interest because it says this on the Steam page so I am curious...

Alice VR also works on a regular monitor, without a VR headset.

For anyone that is interested I have played about 30 minutes of Alice on my computer no VR and it plays just like a regular game using the Unreal Engine. All I did was program a button on my mouse for the "W" key (forward) and use that for movement and direction by moving the mouse. Left Shift Run. There may be more controls but I haven't figured what they may be yet. The left mouse button interacts with objects. There are automatic save points so no manual saves. I have reached that first save point.
