Thanks, Ana. The developer is Orneon, who also brought us The Agency of Anomalies: Mystic Hospital, Echoes of the Past: The Citadels of Time, and Secrets of the Dark: Temple of Night, among others. I'm looking forward to trying out the demo. Orneon has been very consistent in the quality of their games.

The latest Nancy Drew game involves arson, but I can't think of a casual game with this plot. Maybe someone else will know.

No I havent played a Nancy Drew game in a long time. It was a casual game. I just can't recall what it was called.

Well, this is a great game and I bought it before the demo time was up. But, alas, I, and many others, am frustrated by the fact that it did not save my progress. I started over and, again, no progress saved. I hope they fix the problem soon.

Yes, I saw that quite a few people were having a problem with the game not saving their profile. I trust that there will be a fix for this very soon.

I'm one of those people who have not been able to play this game properly. It doesn't save your progress so you have to start from the beginning each time you play. It's a shame, as it looked good and I was enjoying it.

I'm looking every day to see if and when an update is released for this problem. I found one note from a poster on the Big Fish forum who fixed her problem with the game not saving; I doubt this is why so many are experiencing this problem, but I will post it here anyway:

I went back to the main menu and signed in again. This time I paid focused attention to the process and found it was just a little tricky. I had to "approve" it twice and then OK it. Then it stayed with the profile name I had assigned (rather then revert back to 'guest') and it kept my place when I later signed out and then back on.

I'm sure you all probably have a bigger and more sophisticated glitch...but this fixed my problem with having to re-start each time I logged off.

I sure hope a fix for this problem is released very soon.

Thanks for the tip Marian. I'm unsure what the person who wrote that meant. I tried the process of choosing a user name, but it still reverts to "guest", deletes your user name, and makes you start again after exiting so it still doesn't save. Apparently there is also a glitch near the end when you try the bonus game. But since I haven't got that far I don't know the details.

It definitely sounds like a problem with the game and not user error, Skippy. I did read about the glitch in the bonus game too. If I read of a fix for the game having been released, I will post here right away.

Wow! Currently playing the bonus chapter of this game. Almost a whole game in itself. Have to tap this one as one of the best CE's I've played.

P.S. When I completed the regular part of the game, my player name changed to "Guest". I didn't change this when I started the bonus game and haven't had any problem with my progress being saved.
