You never actually see Santa, only his "assistants". Santa keeps his job until he decides to retire. Santa doesn't really do the work; he directs a bunch of helpers to do all his work for him, but he's the one who everybody credits with the work. Santa doesn't work anywhere near a 40 hour week. Santa travels a lot. Yup, Santa is obviously a senior faculty member with tenure!

A very Merry Christmas to all - mine starts with coffee and home-made mince pies, followed by grazing on home-made sausage rolls, the problem being to save some appetite for dinner once Mrs Lex finishes slaving in the kitchen...!

Happy Christmas Day to all. It's spitting rain here. Warm sea breeze makes it weird. Nothing big, just wet out so all the kiddies who got new bikes won't be out much. Sooooo quiet around the neighborhood. Wow. Santa brought me a buffet lunch at Marie Callendar's and a ton of AA batteries (I use enormous amounts of them). Great gifts for me. Yup.

Going to see my sister and her 'hubby' tomorrow for a combined Christmas/Birthday lunch. I get to see her once a year as she comes down from WA state to visit her daughter et al. Nice to laugh and catch up on stuff.

Outdoorsies all looking for warm spots to cuddle with each other outside. I counted noses and all of them were present for breakfast including the one who isn't mine from down the block. I call him 'Duplex'. He comes for breakfast and dinner and sometimes lunch. I wish I knew who he belongs to or belonged to. Semi-friendly but still a feral and I have to feed him on a separate table because he's a bit aggressive with all the others.

Hope everyone has a calm and happy Christmas day. I'm doing my best to do nothing.

Hope everyone had a great one! We've had a different kind of Christmas with the kids being older. I spent a lot of the day cooking and cleaning and packing. We are off tomorrow morning bright and early.
